City Council meeting of May 4, 1998 <br />Page 3 <br />Comments were then received for the Fenway Boulevard project: Tom Jackson questioned <br />whether the property located at 130th and Fenway was given corner lot consideration. <br />The City received three written objections to the proposed Fenway Boulevard project: <br />Minnesota Pipe Line, the Jackson family, and Ken Tschida. <br />Leroux made motion, Barnes seconded, to adopt RESOLUTION 1998-13, A RESOLUTION <br />ADOPTING THE ASSESSMENT ROLL FOR THE FENWAY BOULEVARD <br />IMPROVEMENT PROJECT. Approval is subject to consideration given to corner lot credit <br />for the Jackson property located at 130th Street and Fenway Boulevard. <br />VOTING AYE: Arcand, Barnes, Goiffon, Leroux, Miron <br />Motion Carried. <br />FENWAY AVENUE PROJECT <br />Barnes made motion, Leroux seconded, that the City offer $500 to the Buenos to be used for a <br />private appraisal of the value of the easement to be taken by the City. In return, the Buenos <br />must agree that this payment waives the right to collect any further payment for an appraisal <br />under condemnation proceedings. The City shall proceed with a "quick take" so as not to lose <br />time on the project. <br />All aye. Motion Carried. <br />Barnes made motion, Goiffon seconded, to adopt RESOLUTION 1998-14, A RESOLUTION <br />ADOPTING THE ASSESSMENT ROLL FOR THE FENWAY AVENUE PUBLIC <br />IMPROVEMENT PROJECT. <br />VOTING AYE: Arcand, Barnes, Goiffon, Leroux, Miron <br />Motion Carried. <br />Barnes made motion, Goiffon seconded, to adopt RESOLUTION 1998-15, A RESOLUTION <br />ORDERING THE FENWAY BOULEVARD/AVENUE STREET, WATER, SEWER, <br />STORMWATER, AND RELATED IMPROVEMENTS. Bids for project shall allow for a <br />deduct of the Fenway Avenue project. <br />VOTING AYE: Arcand, Barnes, Goiffon, Leroux, Miron <br />Motion Carried. <br />FIRE HALL PLANS AND SPECS <br />Pete Villard, Trossen and Wright, presented the Council with plans and specifications for the <br />new Fire Hall, and stated that construction bids would be opened at City Hall on May 28, <br />1998, at 10:00AM. <br />
