City Council meeting of May 18, 1998 <br />Page 7 <br />Miron made motion, Leroux seconded, directing staff to prepare a Purchase Agreement <br />for the MCES site in the Bald Eagle Industrial Park. <br />All aye. Motion Carried. <br />COUNTY WATER MANAGEMENT COMMITTEE <br />The Council considered a letter from Ms. Jane Harper, Washington County Planner, <br />requesting that the City recommend someone to represent local government on a County <br />Committee being established to evaluate the effectiveness of water management in <br />Washington County. <br />Goiffon made motion, Arcand seconded, that the City of Hugo recommend the <br />appointment of John Jay Waller to the County Water Management Committee. <br />All aye. Motion Carried. <br />MLSCELLANEOUS <br />The joint meeting of May 20th with adjoining communities was canceled because of storm <br />damage in Lino Lakes. Lino will call with a date for another meeting. <br />The Council discussed the extension of a trunk sewer interceptor from Lino Lake into <br />Hugo. It is the City's position that the easement stay on the existing road right-of-way <br />(CR8). <br />The City Engineer questioned the Council on the alignment of 140th Street as it extends <br />west to Elmcrest Avenue. Should the road extend directly to Elmcrest or divert north to <br />CR8? Barnes stated she would like to see sketches of the proposed road alignments. <br />The City received a letter from the BCWD regarding boat launching to Lake Plaisted from <br />140th Street. It was determined that proper signage has helped eliminate a majority of the <br />problems. <br />Goiffon made motion, Leroux seconded, to adjourn at I LOOPM. <br />All aye.
