City Council meeting of November 2, 1998 <br />Page 5 <br />OAKSHORE PARK PRELEMINARY FIELD SURVEY <br />Due to the approaching winter season, and the possibility that the City Engineer would be directed to <br />prepare plans and specs for the Oakshore Park P.I. Project this winter, the following motion was <br />made: <br />Miron made motion, Leroux seconded, authorizing the City Engineer to conduct preliminary field <br />survey of the development in order to obtain necessary information to design the project prior to a <br />snowfall. <br />Voting AYE: Arcand, Goiffon, Leroux, Miron <br />Voting NAY: Barnes <br />Motion Carried. <br />PLANNING CONEVIISSION RESIGNATION <br />Sydney Harrison has resigned from her position on the Hugo Planning Commission effective <br />November 1, 1998, as well as her position on the Parks Commission. In addition, two regular <br />appointments to the Commission will end on December 31, 1998. <br />Miron made motion, Leroux seconded, to accept the resignation of Sydney Harrison from the <br />Planning Commission, and authorize advertisement to fill the position. <br />All aye. Motion Carried. <br />SPECIAL USE PERMIT (ARK/DAN STEWART) <br />The Council considered a letter from the City Attorney requesting the Council consider holding a <br />hearing to revoke the SUP issued for 16815 Forest Blvd. Two semi trailers were seen unloading <br />tires on the site. <br />Miron made motion, Barnes seconded, directing the City's legal staff to schedule a hearing to <br />consider revocation of the SUP issued for 16815 Forest Boulevard, and pursue contempt of court <br />with Mr. Dan Stewart. <br />All aye. Motion Carried. <br />SPECIAL MEETING (NOVEMBER 9.1998) <br />The Mayor, Administrator, and Pete Willenbring met with Mr. Paul Haik, an attorney specializing in <br />water management law regarding the City's proposed petition to remove obstructions along <br />Hardwood Creek. Mr. Haik will be available the evening of November 9th to make <br />recommendations to the Council on how to proceed in this matter. In addition, the City Finance <br />Director will be prepared to discuss the City's proposed 1999 budget and tax capacity. <br />Miron made motion, Barnes seconded, to adopt RESOLUTION 1998-36, A RESOLUTION <br />PETITIONING THE RCWD TO HOLD AN OBSTRUCTION HEARING. <br />
