City Council meeting of May 5, 1997 <br />Page 4 <br />FIRE DEPARTMENT SALARY INCREASES (RESOLUTION <br />At a Council/Fire Department workshop held on April 28, 1997, salary increases were <br />requested by the Fire Chief. Salary increases are approved by resolution. <br />Goiffon made motion, Barnes seconded, to adopt RESOLUTION 1997-9, A <br />RESOLUTION SETTING 1997 SALARIES FOR REGULAR AND PART-TIlVIE <br />EMPLOYEES. <br />VOTING AYE: Barnes, Goiffon, Johnson, Miron <br />Motion Carried. <br />UPDATED FEASIBILITY REPORT (PELOOUIN INDUSTRIAL PARK) <br />The City received written requests from four property owners located north of the <br />proposed Peloquin Industrial Park improvement project, requesting they be included in the <br />project. City Engineer, Tom Angus, submitted an updated feasibility report, including <br />approximately 20 parcels total. Barnes and Miron both stated that they would need a <br />better idea how many, of the approximately 20 parcels, are supportive of the project. <br />Miron made motion, Barnes seconded, directing staff to forward a copy of the City <br />Engineer's report to authors of the four letters of interest, as well as a letter to the other <br />property owners questioning whether they support improvements to their property. <br />All aye. Motion Carried. <br />JUDICIAL DITCH #2 <br />Mayor Miron discussed the RCWD's improvements to Hardwood Creek along T.H. 61 <br />commenting on the benefits of the project. The cleaning should have extended an <br />additional 73', and the Public Works Supervisor, Mike Kriz, is obtaining an estimate to <br />complete the project. <br />CLEARWATER CREEK <br />Mayor Miron updated the Council on his presentation before the Senate/House <br />Subcommittee regarding grant money for the City's Clearwater Creek project. He also <br />stated that there were Hugo residents present at the meeting alleging that the Hugo City <br />Council has not been `open" with concerned residents when dealing with this project. A <br />lengthy discussion continued regarding the project and said allegations. <br />Barnes made motion, Goiffon seconded, to adjourn at 10:OOPM. <br />All aye.
