MINUTES FOR THE HUGO CITY COUNCIL MEETING OF NNE 16, 1997 <br />The meeting was called to order by Mayor Fran Miron at 7: IOPM. <br />PRESENT: Barnes, Goiffon, Miron <br />City Attorney, Greg Galler <br />City Engineer, Tom Angus <br />City Clerk, Mary Ann Creager <br />ABSENT: Debi Johnson and James Leroux <br />ADDITIONS TO AGENDA <br />Schedule Bald Eagle Industrial Park Workshop <br />Update on River City Asphalt <br />CONSENT AGENDA <br />Miron made motion, Barnes seconded, to approve the following Consent Agenda: <br />General Claims for June 16, 1997 in the amount of $25,300.87 <br />Findings of Fact (Kane) <br />All aye. Motion Carried. <br />The Council considered Findings of Fact prepared by the City Attorney, based on Council <br />action on June 2,1997, for denial of the rezoning request of Mike Kane. Adoption of the <br />Consent Agenda approves the Findings of Fact, as proposed. <br />Barnes made motion, Goiffon seconded, to approve the City Council minutes for the <br />meeting of June 2, 1997, as amended. <br />All aye. Motion Carried. <br />C.R. 8A PUBLIC IMPROVEMENT ASSESSMENT HEARING <br />Mayor Miron clarified what was being assessed against benefiting property (water, sewer, <br />and driveway aprons), and that the other improvements were part of the County project. <br />The City's Finance Director, Ron Otkin, explained the increase in cost for the aprons, and <br />the City Attorney explained the assessment and appeal process. Mayor Miron opened the <br />public hearing with the following comments being made: <br />Walter Krause, 6043 Egg Lake Road: Sidewalk and apron higher than his existing <br />driveway creating drainage problems. <br />
