City Council meeting of June 16, 1997 <br />Page 2 <br />Louis Bailey, formerly of 6213 Egg Lake Road: Sold his house with the understanding <br />that the project would not be undertaken. Mr. Bailey signed an agreement with the new <br />owner stating that he (Bailey) would be responsible for any assessments within a one-year <br />period. As a result, he (Bailey) is responsible for the assessment even though he no longer <br />resides in the house. <br />Craig Vinson, 6191 Egg Lake Road: Two family cars were damaged while driveway <br />aprons were being installed. <br />Cindy Highsmith, 6211 Egg Lake Road: Contractor damaged their existing driveway. <br />Mrs. Mike Lindau, 5080 Egg Lake Road: Driveway apron is already cracked. <br />Dee Pastorius, 6074 Egg Lake Road: Water and sewer stubs were not properly located; <br />road runoff has resulted in increased costs to have septic system pumped; existing <br />driveway damage. <br />Larry Hanson, attorney for Harold and Nancy Bramstedt, 6104 Egg Lake Road: The <br />Bramstedts have filed an appeal stating that their property will not benefit by the amount <br />of the assessment. <br />Kathy Atkinson, 14092 Forest Blvd.: Experienced many inconveniences; inability to <br />maintain ditch along T.H. 61 after reconstruction. <br />Diane Johnson, 6009 Egg Lake Road: Questioned who along the road was compensated <br />by the City, and for what? Ron Otkin will check into. <br />Mayor Miron then closed the public hearing for further comment. <br />Because of the many problems experienced by residents along the construction area, the <br />Council thought it would be a good idea to discuss these issues with Washington County <br />Public Works. The City Engineer will also check into residents' complaints regarding <br />their driveway aprons and other problems. <br />Miron made motion, Goiffon seconded, to recess Council discussion of the assessment <br />hearing to allow time to discuss the project with Washington County. The Council will <br />continue deliberations at their regular meeting of July 21, 1997. <br />All aye. Motion Carried. <br />LIQUOR LICENSES (THE END ZONE) <br />Miron made motion, Goiffon seconded, to approve the following licenses to CLASSIC <br />HOLDINGS, INC., dba The End Zone, 13891 Forest Blvd.: On Sale, On Sale Sunday, <br />Games and Cigarette. <br />Council member Barnes stated that she would be voting no because, in her opinion, liquor <br />licenses should be issued to individuals who meet certain standards. <br />VOTING AYE: Miron and Goiffon <br />VOTING NAY: Barnes <br />Motion Carried. <br />
