City Council meeting of June 16, 1997 <br />Page 4 <br />BROWN'S CREEK DEVELOPMENT MORATORIUM <br />The City received a letter from Myra Peterson, Chair of the Washington County Board of <br />Commissioners, requesting that the City adopt a one-year development moratorium with <br />the Brown's Creek watershed. <br />Miron made motion, Barnes seconded, that the City Attorney draft a letter to Washington <br />County stating that the City is well aware of flooding problems in the area, and state how <br />Hugo is handling development proposals rather than a moratorium. <br />All aye. Motion Carried. <br />GLAMOS WIRE PRODUCTS AGREEMENT <br />Miron made motion, Goiffon seconded, directing the City Attorney to draft a letter to <br />Glamos Wire Products in response to their recent correspondence to the City. <br />All aye. Motion Carried. <br />EMPLOYEE REQUEST <br />Carole LaBelle has submitted her resignation effective on June 20, 1997. She had <br />requested that she receive a cash payment for her remaining vacation rather than taking <br />actual time off. <br />Miron made motion, Goiffon seconded, to accept the resignation of Carole LaBelle <br />effective June 20, 1997, and make a cash payment to her for 140 hours of accrued <br />vacation time. <br />All aye. Motion Carried. <br />CORRESPONDENCE <br />The City received a letter from Mr. Chuck Henry regarding rumors of the City taking <br />property for a trail system. Mayor Miron stated that he will contact Mr. Henry regarding <br />his letter. <br />BALD EAGLE INDUSTRIAL PARK WORKSHOP <br />Barnes made motion, Goiffon seconded, to schedule a workshop for Monday, June 30, <br />1997, at 7:30PM, Hugo City Hall, to discuss the Bald Eagle Industrial Park. <br />All aye. Motion Carried. <br />
