MMUTES FOR THE HUGO CITY COUNCIL MEETING OF JULY 7,1997 <br />The meeting was called to order by Mayor Fran Miron at 7: l OPM. <br />PRESENT: Barnes, Goiffon, Johnson, Leroux, Miron <br />City Administrator, Robert Museus <br />City Attorney, Greg Gauer <br />City Engineer, Tom Angus <br />City Clerk, Mary Ann Creager <br />ADDITIONS TO AGENDA <br />Hire Seasonal, Part-time employee for Public Works <br />Road Problem (Bald Eagle Lake) <br />Leroux made motion, Barnes seconded, to approve the following Consent Agenda: <br />City Council minutes for June 16, 1997 <br />City Council minutes for June 30, 1997 <br />General claims for July 7, 1997 <br />Garage Size Variance (Lowell) <br />Setback Variance (Dornfeld) <br />Minor Subd (Hill/Summers) <br />Correction of Record (Olsen) <br />Firefighter Appointments <br />All aye. Motion Carried. <br />VARIANCE "WELD <br />Mark and Darla Lowell, 8590 136th Street, requested a variance to construct a garage <br />exceeding the 1,000 sq ft as allowed by ordinance. The Lowells' garage will be two <br />stories, of 936 sq ft each. This request was considered by the Board of Adjustments on <br />June 25, 1997, where a granting of the variance was recommended. Adoption of the <br />Consent Agenda approved the variance for the two-story garage, as proposed. <br />VARIANCE (DORNFELD) <br />Roni and Dave Dornfeld, 15255 Elmcrest Avenue, requested a variance to construct a <br />2,400 sq ft accessory building closer to the front lot line than the principal residence. The <br />home is located on I 1 acres and zoned ag. The residence is located 650' from Elmcrest <br />Avenue, and the proposed accessory building would 450' from Elmcrest Avenue. This <br />request was considered by the Board of Adjustments on June 25, 1997, where a granting <br />of the variance was recommended. Adoption of the Consent Agenda approved the <br />variance, as requested. <br />
