City Council meeting of July 7, 1997 <br />Page 5 <br />ALLEGED ORDINANCE VIOLATION (17866 FOXHILL AVENUE) <br />At the Council meeting of June 2, 1997, the Council heard allegations of violations of City <br />Ordinance at the above address; specifically, numerous unlicensed vehicles, tires, various <br />auto parts, construction materials and equipment, as well as other miscellaneous debris <br />lying about the property. Mrs. Yvonne Jarosiewicz asked the Council for a 30 -day <br />extension to complete cleanup of the site. The Council granted the request and directed <br />staff to reinspect the site and report findings to the Council on July 7, 1997. The City's <br />Building Official conducted an inspection of the site on July 1, 1997, and his report was <br />provided to the Council. Generally, a substantial amount of work has been done to clean <br />up the site, though the cleanup is not completed. <br />Miron made motion, Leroux seconded, that because the property owner is making a good - <br />faith effort to bring the property into compliance with ordinance, that an additional 30 <br />days be granted to complete cleanup of the site. <br />All aye. Motion Carried. <br />PELOOUIN INDUSTRIAL PARK (PROPERTY VALUATIONS) <br />The City has received the report of Lake State Realty Services, Inc., on the expected <br />increases in property valuations due to the extension of public utilities to the Peloquin <br />Industrial Park and adjacent property. The Engineer's estimate for project cost is <br />$1,068,384. Lake State Realty's estimate of the increase in property values is $1,281,283. <br />Lake State Realty's report indicates that in order to fully assess the project, the assessment <br />roll will need to be altered to transfer assessments from some lower value properties to <br />properties receiving a higher benefit. <br />Miron made motion, Leroux seconded, to accept the Lake State Realty's report. <br />All aye. Motion Carried. <br />Miron made motion, Leroux seconded, directing staff to prepare an assessment roll based <br />on Lake State Realty's report and schedule an assessment hearing for August 4, 1997 at <br />7:05PM. <br />All aye. Motion Carried. <br />BALD EAGLE INDUSTRIAL PARK <br />At the City Council workshop of June 30, 1997, staff briefed the Council on a plan for <br />expansion of the Bald Eagle Industrial Park, that include the construction of a north/south <br />commercial collector street (Falcon/Fenway) and a new connection to TH 61 (134th St). <br />The plan included making improvements to approximately 90 acres of property to allow <br />
