City Council meeting of August 4, 1997 <br />Page 4 <br />greenhouses of greater height. They are also requesting a driveway access on to Everton <br />Avenue to serve delivery trucks picking up and delivering from the greenhouses. RCWD <br />has stated that the changes contemplated are within the scope of their previous permit <br />issued to the site. Robert Museus, City Administrator, stated that the real issue is the <br />driveway access request for Everton Avenue. Previously, this request had been denied by <br />another Council, with no stated reason. <br />Miron made motion, Goiffon seconded, to approve the request of J.R Johnson Supply for <br />a revised Site Plan to remove two greenhouses, 14' x 96' and 30' x 96' in size. They will <br />be replaced with two (2) 30' x 96' greenhouses of greater height. Approval is also given <br />for a driveway from the site to Everton Avenue subject to acquisition of 33' for roadway <br />easement, if needed. <br />All aye. Motion Carried. <br />TOBACCO ORDINANCE <br />The Council considered a letter received from the Washington County Department of <br />Health questioning if the City will be developing a new tobacco control ordinance based <br />on recently adopted state law. <br />Leroux made motion, Miron seconded, to table action on this matter until the City <br />Attorney provides a draft ordinance for Council review. <br />All aye. Motion Carried. <br />COMP PLAN LETTER <br />Leroux made motion, Goiffon seconded, to authorize sending of a letter drafted by the <br />City Administrator to the Met Council requesting action on the City's Comp Plan. <br />All aye.
