MINUTES FOR THE HUGO CITY COUNCIL MEETING OF 10/20/97 <br />The meeting was called to order by Mayor Fran Miron at 7:10PM. <br />PRESENT: Barnes, Goiffon, Leroux, Miron <br />City Administrator, Robert Museus <br />City Attorney, Greg Galler <br />City Engineer, Tom Angus <br />City Clerk, Mary Ann Creager <br />ADDITIONS TO AGENDA <br />Presentation from Captain Don McGlothlin <br />Fire Department Referendum <br />CONSENT AGENDA <br />Goiffon made motion, Leroux seconded, to approve the following Consent Agenda: <br />Minutes of October 6, 1997 <br />General Claims for October 20, 1997 <br />Findings of Fact - Rudy <br />Off -Sale Liquor License - Swanny's Liquor <br />Cigarette License - Swanny's Liquor <br />All aye. Motion Carried. <br />FINDINGS OF FACT (RUDY) <br />At the Council meeting of October 6, 1997, the City Council approved a variance for the <br />rear yard setback at 7375 -165th Street owned by Burns and Teresa Rudy. The Findings <br />of Fact was prepared by the City Attorney to define the City's action. Adoption of the <br />Consent Agenda approved the Finding of Fact as presented. <br />OFF -SALE LIQUOR LICENSE (SWANNY'S LIQUOR) <br />Swanny of Hugo, Inc., 14583 Forest Blvd. N., has requested an Off -Sale Liquor License. <br />This is the site of the old Nadeau's Market. Catherine and Michael Anderson intend to <br />move the off -sale operation from their existing restaurant to the neighboring building. The <br />Andersons have provided the city proof of liquor liability insurance in the amounts <br />required by law and have paid the appropriate fees. Adoption of the Consent Agenda <br />approved issuance of the liquor license to Swannys of Hugo, Inc., as of November 1, <br />1997. <br />
