MINUTES FOR THE HUGO CITY COUNCIL MEETING OF 11/03/97 <br />The meeting was called to order by Mayor Fran Miron at 7:05PM. <br />PRESENT: Barnes, Leroux, Miron <br />City Administrator, Robert Museus <br />City Attorney, Greg Galler <br />City Engineer, Tom Angus <br />City Clerk, Mary Ann Creager <br />ABSENT: Andrew Goiffon <br />OATH OF OFFICE <br />Warren. Arcand, appointed by the City Council to fill the unexpired Ward 1 Council term, <br />took the Oath of Office. <br />CONSENT AGENDA <br />Leroux made motion, Barnes seconded, to approve the following Consent Agenda: <br />City Council minutes for October 20, 1997 <br />General Claims for November 3, 1997 <br />Amended Special Use Permit (Vacinek) <br />All aye. Motion Carried. <br />SPECIAL USE PERMIT (VACINEK) <br />Kevin Vacinek, dba Concrete Yard Ornaments, Inc., 5855 165th Street, has requested to <br />amend his SUP in order to add a 20' x 50' addition on the south side of the existing <br />building on the site. This matter was the subject of a public hearing before the Planning <br />Commission on October 22, 1997, and the PC recommended approval of the request. <br />Adoption of the Consent Agenda amends the SUP for 5855 165th Street by allowing a 20' <br />x 50' addition onto the south side of the existing building on the site. <br />FIRE SERVICE AWARD <br />Linda Westrom of Senator Rod Grams' office presented the Hugo Volunteer Department <br />the Congressional Fire Service Institute Award, and thanked them for their contributions <br />to the City. <br />SPECIAL USE PERMIT (MIRON) <br />George and Patricia Miron, 8825 170th Street, have requested a SUP to operate a beauty <br />shop out of their home at the above address. The property is located in the agricultural <br />district. The Hugo PC considered this request at their meeting of October 22, 1997, and <br />recommended approval of the request. <br />
