City Council meeting of December 1, 1997 Page 3 VOTING AYE: Barnes, Goiffon, Leroux, Miron ABSTAINED: Warren Arcand Motion Carried. APPEAL DANGEROUS DOG DESIGNATION Richard Rodriguez, 5725 Lower 147th Street, has had his dog "Willie" designated a potentially dangerous dog by the City Attorney as a result of a bite inflicted on a neighbor. Mr. Rodriguez was present to appeal the decision, as well as provide a letter from the bite victim, who states the circumstances surrounding the bite, and asks for leniency and understanding when deciding the fate of the animal. Miron made motion, Barnes seconded, that the City accept the request of the Richard Rodriguez and Tim Shoushounova, and remove the potentially dangerous designation for Willie, based on Mr. Shoushounova's letter. All aye. Motion Carried. MASTER PARK PLAN The Planning Commission recommended acceptance of the Plan as submitted to them at their meeting of November 17, 1997. Dave Wanberg of Sanders Wacker Bergly was present to explain the Plan, as well as answer any questions. As the Council desired more time to review the Plan, the following motion was made: Barnes made motion, Goiffon seconded, to table this matter until the meeting of 12/15/97. All aye. Motion Carried. PLANNING COMMISSION VACANCY Frank Puleo submitted a letter of interest in the PC vacancy as a result of Alice Waller's resignation. Miron made motion, Goiffon seconded, to appoint Frank Puleo to fill the remaining Planning Commission term of Alice Waller to expire 12/31/99. All aye. Motion Carried. ORDINANCE VIOLATION (4720 170TH STREET) The above -referenced address is in violation of Hugo ordinance. Councilman Leroux has discussed this matter with the property owner, and he has agreed to notify the City when the property should be inspected for ordinance compliance.
