City Council meeting of January 16, 1996 Page 3. Barnes made motion, Leroux seconded, that the City initiate an application for rezoning from SFU to CB for the proposed Post Office site. All aye. Motion Carried. Lerou;; made motion. Goiffon seconded, directing the City Engineer to initiate the design phase of the Post Office project for utilities and access to the site. All aye. Motion Carried. SET WORKSHOP DATE FOR FIRE HALL STUDY REVIEW The Council had indicated an interest in establishing a workshop in February to discuss the report and comments received from the Fire Hall. Committee. LaValle made motion, Barnes seconded, to schedule a special meeting of January 'C.►, 1996, at 7:30 PM. to review the Fire Hall Committee study. The Council will also discuss selection of a City Engineer for the year 1996. All aye. Motion Carried. JOINT MEE=TING The City of Lino Lakes would like to schedule a joint meeting with the cities of Hugo and Centerville, and the Rice Creek Watershed District, for discussion of common concerns. Leroux made motion, Barnes seconded, to schedule a joint meeting with the cities of Lino Lakes and Centerville, and the RCWD, for February 8. 1994, at 7:00 PM, at a place to be determined. All aye. Motion Carried. HUGO SNOWMOBILE CLUB Ken Strant.z, represent.inq the Hugo Snowmobile Club, was present to discuss a new trail connecti.no Highway 61 with County Road 8/14. Lerou: made motion to approve the use of road right-of-way, as described by the Hugo Snowmobile Club, with authorization to use City property. Motion dies for lack of second. The Citv Administrator stated that by ordinance, more information was needed, and that trail approval was done by resolution.
