City Council meeting of February 20, 1996 <br />Page 2 <br />water improvements to the Oakshore Park subdivision. At that meeting, the <br />Council tabled consideration of the matter until this evening's meeting in <br />order to allow staff time to generate certain specified information <br />relating to age of the wells and septic systems and property values. Tim <br />Agness, 12136 Everton Avenue, addressed the Council stating his opposition <br />to widening of Everton and installation of curb and gutters. Because all <br />the information requested by the Council at the hearing of 1/8/96 was not <br />available, the following motion was made: <br />LerOUX made motion, Goiffon seconded, to table further discussion of this <br />matter until the City Council meeting of April 1, 1996. <br />All aye. Motion Carried. <br />FIRE DEPARTMENT ANNUAL REPORT <br />Miron made motion, LaValle seconded, to table this matter until the <br />meeting of March 4, 1996. <br />All aye. Motion Carried. <br />VEHICLE PURCHASE <br />The City budgeted for the purchase of a new pickup truck. for the City's <br />maintenance department for 1996. The Maintenance Supervisor's preference <br />is to purchase a one-ton vehicle, which would allow for hauling, <br />trailering, and potentially, snowplowing, The State of Minnesota's 1996 <br />bid for such a vehicle was $20,806.76 plus tax and license. The City also <br />received quotes from two other dealers for similar vehicles: Grossman <br />Chevrolet's quote was $19,745.15 plus tax and license and Thayne Hawkins <br />Polar Chevrolet, $21,103 plus tax and license. Staff recommended <br />purchasing the vehicle from Grossman Chevrolet. <br />Miron made motion, Lerou;: seconded, authorizing purchase of a pickup truck <br />from Grossman Chevrolet for $21,103, plus tax and license. <br />All aye. Motion Carried. <br />COMPREHENSIVE FLAN REVIEW <br />Eased on direction given by the Council at their last reaUlar meeting, Ed <br />Elliott of Loucks and Associates was present at the meeting to provide the <br />Council with an update on the City's revised Comprehensive Plan. <br />LerouX made motion, Miron seconded, to approve the draft Comprehensive <br />Flan, and Loucks and Associates be authorized for forward copies of the <br />draft to Met Council and adjoining communities. <br />All aye. Motion Carried. <br />CLAIMS <br />Miron made motion, LaValle seconded, to approve the claims for 2/20/96 <br />deleting payment of $2,449.16 to Loucks and Associates. The Administrator <br />
