MINUTES FOR THE HUGO CITY COUNCIL MEETING OF MARCH 18, 1996 <br />The meeting was called to order by Mayor Fran Miron at 7:00 PM. <br />PRESENT: Goiffon, LaValle, Leroux„ Miron <br />City Attorney. Greg Galler <br />City Engineer, Tom Angus <br />City Clerk, Mary Ann Creager <br />ABSENT: Debra Barnes <br />Leroux made motion, LaValle seconded, to approve the following Consent <br />Agenda: <br />Minutes for the City Council meeting of February 29, 1996 <br />Minutes for the City Council meeting of March 4, 1996 <br />Minutes for the City Council meeting of March 11, 1996 <br />Claims for March 18, 1996 <br />Hire Seasonal Building Assistant <br />Findings of Fact (McCullough) <br />All aye. Motion Carried. <br />SITE PLAN APPROVAL (GAMBONI) <br />Thomas M. and Kathy L. Gamboni, 5473 145th Street, requested site plan <br />approval to construct a 30' x 32' garage on their property at the above <br />address. The property is currently CB, and is being used for residential <br />purposes. They intend to remove the existing garage from the site. The <br />960 square foot garage proposed is under the 1,000 sq ft allowed by <br />ordinance. Location of the garage meets all setback requirements of the <br />City in the CES district, as well as residential districts. Residential <br />use of this property is a nonconforming use, but the City has permitted <br />improvements to residential properties in the CES district in the past, in <br />accordance with Hugo City Code, Chapter 320-4, Subd. K(4). The property <br />is located in the downtown planning area. <br />Miron made motion, Goiffon seconded, <br />Thomas Gamboni, 547. 145th Street, to <br />property. Motion Carried. <br />BUILDING ASSISTANT <br />to approve the site plan request of <br />construct a 30' x 32' garage on his <br />an application for residential site <br />refunded $60.00 application fee. <br />Mr. Vern Bartlette is hired as assistant to the City's Building Official <br />for the 1996 construction season. His employment will start April 1, 1996 <br />at $9.70/hour. <br />PERMIT VIOLATION HEARING <br />A public hearing was scheduled for 7:30 PM to consider an allegation that <br />Mr. David Deschane, 13580 Geneva Avenue, violated the conditions of a <br />building permit issued to him on April 4, 1994, and had not paid the fees <br />associated with such permit. Mr. Deschane was notified of the hearing by <br />certified mail. <br />
