MINUTES FOR THE HUGO CITY COUNCIL MEETING OF JULY 15, 1996 The meeting was called to order by Mayor Fran Miron at 7:15 PM. PRESENT: Barnes. Leroux„ Miron City Attorney, Greg Galler City Engineer. Tom Angus City Planner, Ed Elliott City Clerk, Mary Ann Creager ABSENT: Andrew Goiffon ADDITIONS TO AGENDA Special Use Permit (Ehnstrom) Barnes made motion. Leroux: seconded, to adopt the following Consent Agenda: Claims for July 15, 1996 Charitable Gamblinq License (Blacksmith Lounge) Subdivision (Keystone Estates) Variance to Driveway Width (14020 Finale) All aye. Motion Carried. Barnes made motion, Leroux seconded, to approve the minutes for the City Council meeting of July 1. 1996, as amended. All aye. Motion Carried. EHNSTROM (SPECIAL USE PERMIT) The request of Lawrence and Kathleen Ehnstrom, 14043 Fondant Avenue, for a SUP to construct an •_0' x: 40' accessory building was considered at the Council meeting of July 1, 1996. The Ehnstroms' lot location was clarified, but no newly designed site plan had been submitted. Council member Barnes felt that the proposed building was inconsistent with the residential neiqhborhood, no hardship existed, and was concerned with two driveways on the site. Miron made motion. Leroux: seconded, to table this matter until the Council meeting of August 5, 1996, to allow time for resubmittal of a redesigned building. All aye. Motion Carried. WASHINGTON COUNTY SHERIFF'S DEPT. Sergeant Jim Fure was present at the meeting to see if the Council had any concerns, and stated that there were no particular criminal "trends" in the City. SPECIAL USE PERMIT (BURMEISTER) The Council reviewed a copy of the backq round information and minutes from the Planning Commission meeting of June 26. 1996 relating to Mr. Burmeister's request.
