City Council meeting of August 19, 1996 <br />Page 6 <br />recommended that the City purchase seven new personal computers, six; for <br />use in City Hall, and one for use by the Fire Dept. The computers used in <br />City Hall would be linked together, though not through a file server at <br />this time. It is the staff's intent to provide the employees with the <br />hardware and software necessary to train up on the new system, and then <br />network: the PC's at a later date. Staff has recommended that the Council <br />authorize the purchase of seven personal computers from Tautges Redpath at <br />a cost of $24,820.30. <br />Barnes made motion, Leroux: seconded, to approve the purchase of seven <br />computers from Tautges Redpath at a cost of $24,820.30, and the Finance <br />Director obtain the most current operating system. <br />All aye. Motion Carried. <br />INGERSOLL AVENUE/175TH STREET <br />The City Engineer stated that he has been attempting to find a contractor <br />to perform the required roadwork at this location, to no avail. He <br />requested names/phone numbers of contractors from people in attendance at <br />the meeting. <br />Leroux, made motion, Goiffon seconded, to adjourn at 10:15 PM. <br />All aye.
