City Council meeting of August 19, 1996 <br />Page 5 <br />FIFE HALL ARCHITECT <br />The Fire Hall Committee recommended the firm of Trossen Wright to provide <br />architectural and construction supervision services for the proposed new <br />Fire Hall. <br />Leroux; made motion, Miron seconded, to accept the Fire Hall Committee's <br />recommendation and appointing Trossen Wright to provide architectural and <br />construction supervision services for the proposed new Fire Hall. <br />All aye. Motion Carried. <br />Miron made motion, Barnes seconded, directing the Fire Hall Committee to <br />continue working with Trossen Wright in the establishment of draft desiqn. <br />All aye. Motion Carried. <br />DATE FOR DOWNTOWN PLAN PRESENTATION <br />Fred Hoisington of Hoisington Koegler Group, Inc., has stated that he will <br />be prepared to present the proposed plan for the development of the City's <br />downtown area any time during the month of September. The Council felt <br />that they could present a number of current issues to the public at the <br />same time as the downtown plan presentation. <br />Miron made motion, Leroux seconded, to schedule a workshop for September <br />21, 1996, with the following yet to be determined: time, place, and <br />projects to be discussed. <br />All aye. Motion Carried. <br />FOYER PROPERTY <br />Since at least 1987, the City has received numerous complaints regarding <br />the exterior storage of vehicles and accumulation of tires, junk, and <br />debris at 9195 122nd Street North. The City has attempted to use <br />administrative mechanisms to bring the property into compliance with City <br />ordinance. At times, the owner would clean up the site, but within a <br />short period of time, additional vehicles and debris would show up on the <br />site. The City Attorney has requested that this matter be brought before <br />the Council for guidance. <br />Leroux made motion, Goiffon seconded, directing the City Attorney to <br />proceed with civil action against Garry Boyer, 9195 122nd Street, to bring <br />his property into compliance with City ordinance. <br />All aye. Motion Carried. <br />COMPUTER PURCHASE <br />Purchase of a new computer system for the City was included in the 1996 <br />budget.
