City Council meeting of February 6, 1995 <br />Page 4 <br />taken for possible violations of the terms and conditions of his liquor <br />license; specifically, unpaid property taxes. Mr. Bogatty explained that <br />his business had experienced extensive damage in December as a result of <br />the remodeling project at Granger's to the north. He was unable to pay <br />his taxes because of money expended by him for repairs, and is expecting <br />payment from the insurance companies this month. Mr. Bogatty questioned <br />if the Council would cancel the hearing if he showed proof of tax payment <br />prior to the hearing date as he would not be able to be in attendance. <br />Mr. Bogatty was told that the "wheels were in motion" and the hearing <br />would have to be held as published. However, the Council would use his <br />testimony provided at tonight's meeting assuming he would not be able to <br />be present at the hearing. <br />MISCELLANEOUS <br />Hugo resident, Ron Sparrow, stated that he did not feel that. the City <br />should change the name of 147th Street in Rice Lake Meadows. A <br />directional sign on Onek:a Lake Boulevard would be sufficient. <br />Walter Stoltzman stated that a resident had contacted his about the status <br />of the Hardwood Creek ditch cleaning project. The resident should contact <br />the Rice Creek:. Watershed District for an update. <br />The City received a response from a fire fighter regarding the proposed <br />Fire Department SOF'. His comments have been forwarded to the Fire Chief. <br />Miron made motion, Goi.ffon seconded, to recess tonight's meeting at 10:20 <br />PM until Monday, February 1=, 1995, Hugo City Hall., at 7:SO PM, for the <br />purpose of an executive session regarding the Woods of Bald Eagle <br />litigation. <br />All aye.
