City Council meeting of June 19, 1995 <br />Page 2 <br />RECYCLING LICENSE (MODERN AUTO) <br />Mr. Roger Dupaul, doing business as Modern Auto Parts, 16813 Forest Blvd., <br />Hugo, requested an Auto Dismantling License from the City. Staff <br />recommended that the license not be approved, based on findings reported <br />in staff's memo of June 14, 1995. Attorney Galler suggested that the City <br />send a. certified letter to Mr. Dupaul stating Council action, and that he <br />be informed that he may not conduct business with the public until the <br />nec4s5ary improvements are made to the property, and a new license is <br />applied for and obtained. <br />Leroux made motion, LaValle seconded, to accept City staff's <br />recommendation to deny the Auto Dismantling License application from Roger <br />Dupaul, based on report of staff finding=_. dated June 14, 1995, and that a <br />certified letter be sent to the property owner and license holder <br />informing them of the Council's action. <br />All aye. Motion Carried. <br />MANN LAKE ESTATES ROAD CONNECTION AGREEMENT <br />A public hearing was held on June 5, 1995 to consider the request of <br />Barr/Harley Development to connect a road from their proposed Mann Lake <br />Estates Subdivision in Grant Township to Isleton Avenue in Hugo. In <br />response to Council direction, the City Attorney prepared a Road <br />Connection Agreement, between the City of Hugo and Barr/Harley <br />Development, for the road connection to Isleton Avenue and the improvement. <br />of Janero Avenue from 121st Street to County Road 7. Mr. Barr was <br />present, and agreed to all conditions for road improvements except for <br />paying for seal coating of existing blacktopped streets. City Attorney <br />stated that he would amend the proposed Agreement to include reference to <br />"signs" where needed, and inclusion of plans and specs from the City <br />Engineer. vopj <br />Miron made motion, Goiffon seconded, to#he Road Connection Agreement, a= <br />amended, between the City of Hugo and Bar -Harley Development, Inc., and <br />authorizes the Mayor and City Clerk to sign said Agreement on behalf of <br />the City of Hugo. <br />VOTING AYE: Goiffon, Leroux, Miron <br />VOTING NAY: LaValle <br />Motion Carried. <br />BA IMPROVEMENT ESTIMATE <br />The City Engineer prepared for Council consideration an estimate of the <br />City's cost associated with the improvement of County Rd. 8A, between <br />Trunk Highway 61 and Goodview Ave. This estimate was based on the bids <br />received for the project. <br />LaValle made motion, Goiffon seconded, to proceed with the base bid for <br />the County Road 8A project, in the amount of $212,476.75. <br />All aye. Motion Carried. <br />
