City Council meeting of August 7, 1995 <br />Page 5 <br />PRIORl'TY REVIEW ANP UPDATE <br />Staff requested that the Council establish a date for a workshop to <br />conduct an in -progress review of the work being performed on City <br />priorities for 1995, and to begin discussion of Council priorities for <br />1995, as a beginning to the City's budget development process. The <br />Council also indicated previously that they wished to conduct a biannual <br />review of the City Administrator's job performance. <br />LaValle made motion, Leroux; seconded, to schedule a. special meeting of the <br />Hugo City Council for August 22, 1995, at 7:30 PM, to discuss priorities <br />for 1995 and 1996, biannual review of the City Administrator's job <br />performance, interview applicants for maintenance supervisor, and conduct <br />the Fire Department disciplinary hearing for the fire fighter referenced <br />above. <br />All aye. Motion Carried. <br />Di_ W T ON RE-:DEVEL._OP ENT <br />Due to the development activity starting to occur in the City's downtown <br />area along T.H. 61, near C.R. 8, the Mayor requested that discussion of <br />creation of a redevelopment district for the .area be discussed by the <br />Council., <br />Leroux made motion, LaValle seconded, to schedule a workshop for August <br />28, 1995, at 7:30 PM, to discuss establishment of a redevelopment district <br />for the downtown area of the City of Hugo. <br />All ave. Motion Carried, <br />Miron made motion, Leroux; seconded, authorizing the City Engineer to <br />provide a legal description for a future site for the Post Office, at a <br />Cost not to exceed $2,000. <br />All aye. Motion Carried. <br />L t.*..E E!....AI:STFP SI:GNl <br />The Cit;: was informed of "NO BOAT LAUNCHING" signs that had been placed <br />adjacent to Lake Plaisted. The City Council had approved NO PARKING <br />signs, but no approval was granted for the boat launching signs. <br />Miron made motion, LaValle seconded, that the City have the NO BOAT <br />LAUNCHING signs removed from 140th Street adjacent to Lake Plaisted. <br />All aye. Motion Carried. <br />LETTER FROM CARL ZIEGLER <br />The City received a letter from Carl Ziegler inquiring why property owners <br />are not notified of the result of Board of Review. <br />
