City Council meeting of November 4, 1995 <br />Page 4 <br />LETTER (ATKINSON) <br />The Council received separately a letter from the attorney representing <br />Dean and Ruby Atkinson regarding their Mining Permit application. The <br />letter requests that the Council meet with the Atkinsons and their <br />attorney prior to conducting a public hearing on the application. The <br />attorney is to be notified that Mayor Miron and Councilman Leroux: are <br />willing to meet with them. <br />LETTER (SCHUMANN) <br />At the last Council meeting, the Council received a recommendation from <br />Dave Schumann that, as part of all Development Agreements, the City should <br />require the developer to provide a disclosure statement providing <br />purchasers of residential lots information on land -use limitations on the <br />property being purchased, as well as plans for future development in the <br />area. After discussion, the Council determined that the Statement would <br />place unnecessary additional burden on City staff, and not be implemented. <br />LETTER (WILSON TOOL) <br />The City Council received an invitation from Wilson Tool International to <br />visit their facility in Hugo, and see a demonstration of products <br />produced. The invitation would also include a meal. A tour of this <br />business would be beneficial to Understand how Wilson Tool fits into this <br />community and what their needs are. Accepting the meal would be in <br />violation of State law. <br />Miron made motion. Goiffon seconded, directing City staff to schedule a <br />site visit with Wilson Tool in late January, 1996, with a "Dutch treat" <br />dinner option. <br />All aye. Motion Carried. <br />COMPREHENSIVE PLAN REVISION <br />On November 15, 1995, the Planning Commission recommended adoption of the <br />revised Comp Plan previously received by the Council with the following <br />revisions: <br />1. Property owned by the Waller's, along Homestead Avenue, be placed in <br />the City's agriculture district. <br />. The boundary line between the urban and rural service areas be <br />adjusted along Oneka Lake Boulevard to the center of this roadway <br />omitting property to the ea=_•t of Oneka Lake BoUlevard from the Urban <br />service district. <br />_. The urban preserve district be extended to the south around Oneka <br />Lake, but retaining the area adjacent to the Peloquin Industrial Park <br />in the urban service district. <br />Staff recommended that the Council establish a workshop to d1SCUSS the <br />Plan with the planning consultant. <br />
