Planning Commission Minutes — December 7, 2011
Page 2
Shawn Connor, 14005 Fenway Ave N, asked about the proposed underground utilities,
construction hours, and if they would be doing any high voltage training.
Rachel answered that a utility plan would be submitted in the future that would show existing
and proposed utilities in the area. She answered that the City has set construction hours between
lam to 9pm.
The applicant answered that they do not anticipate any high voltage training to be taking place at
the site. He added that they like to have a buffer from residential areas.
Gwynn closed the public hearing.
McRoberts added that screening will be important to him during the site plan phase. He also
questioned the gas fumes and whether they could be hazardous to neighbors
Xcel representative answered that they only have 5 seconds of fumes before it is ignited, for a
total of 60 seconds of fumes for a full day of gas training. He added that natural gas is much
lighter than air so most of the fumes would go straight up.
Kleissler suggested that the landscaping be large enough to cover any outside storage, including
vehicles.
Rachel answered that vehicles will be inside but they do show outdoor storage on the plans.
McRoberts made a motion, Rosenquist seconded, to approve the Preliminary Plat, Final Plat,
Conditional Use Permit and Sketch Plan applications.
All Ayes, motion carried.
2012 Goal Setting Session
Staff explained that the Planning Commission will be discussing goals at the first meeting in
January.
City Identity Workshop
Staff gave an update on the City Identity Workshop.
Adjournment
Arcand motioned, Rosenquist seconded, to adjourn.
All Ayes, motion carried.
Meeting adjourned.
Dennis Fields, Community Development Assistant
