Planning Commission Minutes —June 10, 2010 <br />Page 2 <br />Schumann opened the Public Hearing <br />Schumann closed the Public Hearing. <br />McRoberts believed that the conditions are similar to the surrounding development. <br />Gwynn motioned, Moore seconded, to approve the Preliminary Plat and rezoning requests. <br />All Aye, Motion Carried. <br />Lions Park Development Plan <br />Parks Planner, Shayla Syverson, described the capital improvement project to the Planning <br />Commission. She explained that these types of projects are to be reviewed by the Planning <br />Commission to ensure that they are consistent with the City's Comprehensive Plan. <br />Schumann asked if there was still a plan to build a community center on this site. <br />Shayla responded and said that the Parks Commission still is having talks about that and will <br />most likely wait for a potential donor or a contribution of funds before that is discussed futher. <br />Arcand asked if the basketball courts around the schools were counted in her count of the <br />amenities. <br />Shayla believes they were counted. <br />Arcand asked if there was a fence dividing the basketball area and the tennis courts. <br />Shayla stated that a fence could be added if it becomes an issue. <br />Brian Bear stated that the Planning Commission responsibility is to prepare a report to make sure <br />it is consistent with the Comprehensive Plan. Shayla has provided a report which they can <br />approve. <br />McRoberts motioned, Arcand seconded, to approve the report. <br />All Aye, Motion Carried. <br />Adiournment <br />Gwynn Motioned, Moore seconded, to adjourn. <br />All Ayes.
