MINUTES <br />HUGO PLANNING COMMISSION <br />August 26, 2010 <br />Call to Order <br />Chairman Schumann called the meeting to order at 7:00 p.m. <br />PRESENT: Arcand, Gwynn, Moore, Schumann <br />ABSENT: McRobert, Kleissler, Rosenquist <br />ALSO PRESENT: Dennis Fields, Community Development Assistant <br />Rachel Simone, Planner <br />Approval of Minutes of July 22, 2010 <br />Gwynn made motion, Arcand seconded, to approve the Planning Commission minutes of <br />August 26, 2010 as presented. <br />All Ayes, Motion carried. <br />St. Sauver — Minor Subdivision <br />Planner, Rachel Simone, gave the background to the Planning Commission. She explained that <br />the property is zoned (AG) Agricultural. The request was to split a 40 acre parcel into two, 1 <br />acre parcels and one, 20 acre parcel. She explained that the request meets the setback and <br />minimum lot size requirements, and staff recommended approval of the request. <br />Schumann opened the public hearing. <br />Schumann closed the public hearing. <br />Schumann, along with the other Planning Commissioners, thought that the request was pretty <br />straight forward and they did not have any concerns with the request. <br />Arcand motioned, Moore seconded, to approve Minor Subdivision. <br />All Aye, motion carried. <br />Public Works Salt Storage Building <br />Planner, Rachel Simone, gave the background to the Planning Commission. She explained that <br />the City's Public Works Department was requesting a storage building at 6900 137th ST N to <br />store salt during the winter months that would be protected from the elements. The new building <br />could hold 650 tons of salt which would cover the needs of the city for an entire year. The <br />current building only holds 100 tons. <br />
