MINUTES <br />HUGO PLANNING COMMISSION <br />OCTOBER 28, 2004 <br />Call to Order <br />Chairman Schumann called the meeting to order at 7:00 p.m. <br />PRESENT: Hoffbeck, Kleissler, Malaski, Schumann <br />ABSENT: Bailly, McRoberts, Rosenquist <br />ALSO PRESENT: Bryan Bear, Community Development Director (CDD) <br />Michele Lindau, Community Development Assistant <br />Minutes of October 14, 2004 <br />Malaski made motion, Bailly seconded, to approve the minutes of October 14, 2004 as submitted. <br />Ayes: Hoffbeck, Malaski, Schumann <br />Abstain: Kleissler <br />Motion carried. <br />White Bear School District PUD for Oneka School <br />The Commission held a public hearing to consider the request of the White Bear Lake School <br />District #624, for PUD zoning to allow for an elementary school and community gymnasium to be <br />located at the northwest corner of Oneka Parkway and Heritage Parkway. <br />The CDD explained the site was a result of property being dedicated to the City by developers for <br />Heritage Development to the west and Waters Edge North Development to the east of the school <br />site. This property fulfilled the City's parkland dedication requirement for the new developments. <br />The City plans to dedicated the land for anew public elementary school. 118,335 square feet <br />would be constructed as the school and 23,137 square feet would be community space. There <br />would be an agreement made between the school district and the City for this space. <br />Chair Schumann opened the public hearing. <br />Chuck Corliss, Director of Auxiliary Service for the White Bear School District; Mark Anderson, <br />LHB Landscape Architect; and Kevin Holm, LHB Architect, were present at the meeting to <br />
