Planning Commission Meeting April 25, 2001- page 4 <br />Neighborhood Study and identify a land use plan for the neighborhood. The Planning Commission and City Council <br />ecommended Option D for the land use plan and directed staff to further examine several of the areas designated as <br />"medium density" in the land use plan. Staff developed two alternatives of option D, which were similar to the <br />approved option but shifted the location of some of the medium density land uses. <br />Schumann opened the public hearing. <br />Arnie Triemert, 15220 Everton Avenue North, expressed his preference for Option D2 and also his desire to remain <br />zoned Agricultural. <br />John Udstuen, 15190 Everton Avenue asked about the densities and also stated his desire to remain zoned <br />Agricultural. <br />Schumann closed the public hearing. <br />Kleissler, Malaski, Peltier, Rooney, Rosenquist, and Schumann preferred option D2. McRoberts also said he'd <br />like to see 10 -acre parcels remain zoned Agricultural. <br />McRoberts said he didn't favor any of the plans and questioned why there was so much medium density. <br />Malaski made motion, Peltier seconded, to recommend the Council accept the option D2 land use plan for the <br />Everton Avenue neighbor. <br />Ayes: Kleissler, Malaski, Peltier, Rooney, Rosenquist, and Schumann <br />Tay: McRoberts <br />Motion carried. <br />Schumann made motion, Malaski seconded, to recommend approval of the Draft Land Use Plan and requested <br />Council consider eliminating the more intense uses in the Agricultural zoning district, since it is in the Urban <br />Reserve district, and asked that they consider encouraging MN DOT to improve the County Road 4 and <br />Interstate 35E intersection, similar to the intersection on County Road J. <br />Ayes: Kleissler, Malaski, Rooney, Rosenquist, and Schumann <br />Nay: McRoberts <br />Abstain: Peltier <br />Motion carried. <br />Schumann called a short recess. <br />Sketch Plan Review (inview Meadows 2nd Addition) <br />Paul Keleher and Scott Montgomery, both from Sedona Homes, presented a sketch plan of a proposed subdivision to <br />be known as Pineview Meadows 2nd Addition. This development would be located directly south of the existing <br />Pineview Meadows townhome development on Flay Avenue, south of Co. Rd. 8A (Egg Lake Road.) <br />The Planning Commission reviewed the plan and provided Keleher and Montgomery their comments. <br />
