Planning Commission Meeting April 25, 2001- page 3 <br />and was seeking direction from the Commission on ways to control it. <br />The Lake Area Bank President gave the Commission an idea of the amount of drive through traffic they could expect <br />saying the busiest they have been at other stores is approximately 8 cars per hour on a Friday afternoon. <br />Schumann opened the public hearing. <br />Glen Reimer, 14847 Flay Avenue North, said Sixty -One Stop has been a good neighbor but he was concerned about <br />an increase in illumination and sound. <br />Michele Nelson, 5720 147`h Street North, said the lights would face her windows, the street was like a freeway, the <br />car wash lines were long and, as a nurse, she has responded to several accidents at the intersection. <br />Schumann closed the public hearing. <br />The Commission agreed the parking was a problem as well at the flow and safety of vehicle and pedestrian traffic. <br />The also felt it would get worse when business increased. <br />John Udstuen, 15190 Everton Avenue North, who works in the convenience store industry, said traffic would <br />control itself once business reached its peak because it was unlikely people would visit the store if parking and <br />traffic made it inconvenient for them. <br />McRoberts made motion, Schumann seconded, to recommend approval of the drive up banking facility and the <br />addition to Sixty -One Stop with the following conditions as presented in the draft resolution adding a condition to <br />eliminate the parking between the store and 148`h Street North. <br />1. Prior to issuance of a building permit, the applicant shall relocate the common property line to provide the <br />correct setbacks. <br />2. The applicant shall submit a revised site plan showing the location of the proposed crosswalks and the <br />location of the necessary traffic control signs. <br />3. Remove the semi -trailers and other materials from the parking lot located south of the auto body repair shop. <br />4. Comply with applicable fire code requirements. <br />5. The parking lot south of the auto body shop shall be paved to accommodate the proposed customer and <br />employee parking. <br />Aye: McRoberts, Peltier, Rooney, Rosenquist, Schumann <br />Nay: Kleissler, Malaski <br />Motion carried. <br />Amendment to the Comprehensive Plan (Everton Avenue Neighborhood Study) <br />The Planning Commission held a public hearing to review and make a recommendation on the Everton Avenue <br />Neighborhood Plan for adoption as part of the City's Comprehensive Plan. <br />On April 9, 2001, the Planning Commission and City Council held a joint meeting to discuss the Everton Avenue <br />
