Hugo Planning Commission Meeting July 26, 2000 — Page 2
Ayes: Kellison, Kleissler, Malaski, McRoberts, Peltier, Schumann
Nay: Puleo
Motion carried.
Kellison made motion, Peltier seconded, to amend the motion to specify the width across the
entire public right-of-way not exceed 16'.
Ayes: Kellison, Kleissler, Malaski, McRoberts, Peltier, Schumann
Nay: Puleo
Motion carried.
Conditional Use Permit (Ramberg)
The Planning Commission reviewed the property of Dan Ramberg, 5676 17e St. N., to
determine if a Conditional Use Permit was needed for the horse boarding and training facility on
his property. Mr. Ramberg had applied for two Conditional Use Permits on February 28, 2000;
one for horse boarding/training facilities and tack shop, and another for conducting rodeos on the
property. The CUP for rodeos was approved by the City Council on June 5, 2000. The CUP for
a horse boarding and training facility was tabled at the Planning Commission meetings in March,
April, and May so more information could be obtained to determine if it was an accessory or
principal use.
After reviewing information provided by Mr. Ramberg and the Community Development
Director, Puleo made motion, Peltier seconded, to recommend the City Council find the horse
boarding and training facility be an accessory use of the property; therefore, no Conditional Use
Permit would be needed.
Kellison made motion, McRoberts seconded, to amend the motion to state that this determination
applies to the property at this point in time, and should the size of the property decrease or horse
boarding and training activity increase, the need for a Conditional Use Permit will be
reconsidered at that time.
Vote on amendment;
Ayes: Kellison, Kleissler, Malaksi, Mcroberts, Schumann
Nays: Peltier, Puleo
Motion passed.
Vote on motion as amended:
Ayes: Kleissler, Malaksi, Peltier, Puleo, Schumann
Nays: Kellison, McRoberts
Motion passed.
