MINUTES HUGO PLANNING COMMISSION October 25, 2000 Puleo called the meeting of the Hugo Planning Commission to order at 7:02 p.m. PRESENT: Kleissler, McRoberts, Peltier, Puleo, Rooney, Schumann, and alternate member Buller Community Development Director, John Rask City Engineer, Dave Mitchell Fire Chief, Joe McMahon Deputy Clerk, Michele Lindau Minutes of September 27, 2000 Kleissler made motion, Peltier seconded, to approve the Planning Commission minutes of September 27, 2000. All ayes. Motion carried. Rezoning (12010 Keystone Avenue) The Planning Commission held a public hearing to consider the request of the City of Hugo to rezone property located at 12010 Keystone Avenue North from Rural Residential to Residential Service. The site is approximately 25, 000 square feet in size and is the site of the Keystone Lounge. The property owner attempted to sell the restaurantibar, but the sale did not go through because of the non -conforming status associated with the current residential zoning. The City had rezoned the property on June 21, 1999, as part of the overall update to the Comprehensive Land Use Regulations. Prior to the update in 1999, the property was zoned Concentrated Business. The Planning Commission reviewed the staff report prepared by the Community Development Director, and found that the proposal met all the standards necessary to approve a rezoning, as outlined in the City's Comprehensive Land Use Regulations. Puleo opened the public hearing. Wayne Bjorum, 12515 Keller Ave. N. and Arnie Ecker, 10264 122nd St. N. stated they were in favor of the rezoning. As there were no other comments, Puleo closed the public hearing. Rooney made motion, Peltier seconded, to recommend approval of rezoning 12010 Keystone Avenue North from Rural Residential to Residential Service in accordance with staff recommendation. All Ayes. Motion carried.
