MINUTES OF THE HUGO PLANNING COMMISSION MEETIN <br />APRIL 23, 1997 <br />The regular meeting was called to order by Chairwoman Peltier at 7:OOPM. <br />PRESENT: Waller, Harrison, Schumann, Rubenzer, Malaski, Kellison, Peltier <br />Ed Elliott, Carole LaBelle <br />Motion made by Schumann, seconded by Peltier to approve the minutes of March 26, <br />1997 as amended. <br />AYE: Waller, Harrison, Schumann, Malaski, Kellison, Peltier <br />ABSTAIN: Rubenzer <br />SPECIAL USE PERMIT - BARRETT <br />Dr. Bill Barrett has requested a special use permit, site plan approval, and variance to <br />construct a 2800 square foot addition, clock tower, and parking area on his site at 5673 <br />147th St. This issue was tabled from the February and March meetings in order to <br />have several questions answered. <br />Dr. Barrett stated that the roof drainage on the addition will be directed by scuppers on <br />the east side of the building to the north sewer basin. Stormwater drainage will be <br />directed to the sewer at the northeast corner of the property. He also indicated that <br />MNDOT had no objection to the proposed location of the clock tower as it does not <br />obstruct the view from 147th St. <br />Motion made by Schumann, seconded by Rubenzer to recommend approval of the <br />special use permit, site plan approval, and variance for the above specified construction <br />subject to the following conditions: <br />1. Engineers approval of the stormwater and roof water runoff proposal. <br />2. To allow the parking space in the northwest corner of the site if approved <br />by the city engineer. <br />AYE: Harrison, Schumann, Rubenzer, Malaski, Kellison, Peltier <br />NAY: Waller <br />Motion passed. <br />
