Minutes for the Planning Commission June 23, 1999 - Page4 <br />across from the Bachmeiers, often caused traffic to backup making it difficult to get in and out of the Bachmeiers <br />driveway. <br />There were no other comments, and Puleo closed the public hearing. <br />Mr. Neamy explained the business, saying his spouse ran a petting zoo, known as Down On The Farm, which <br />allowed children to spend time with their cows, sheep, miniature pigs and goats. Neamy said his wife had been at <br />City Hall a few times inquiring if she needed to a special use permit to run her business, and was told no. <br />The Planning Commission suggested the Neamy's combine both lots into one parcel of record, which would give <br />him more freedom to do as he wished in the Agriculture District; however, Mr. Neamy stated the fee owner of the <br />vacant parcel did not want him to pay off the contract for deed early. <br />Schumann made motion Puleo seconded, to table the request for a special use permit until July 28, 1999, to allow <br />the Neamys time to combine the parcels, if it was possible for them to do so, and to allow the City Staff time to <br />determine if a special use permit was necessary to conduct their business. <br />All Ayes. <br />Motion carried. <br />Housing Policy <br />The City Administrator had requested the Planning Commission provide him with comments on the draft Housing <br />Policy. <br />Puleo made motion, Peltier seconded, to table discussion of the Housing Policy since the City Administrator could <br />not be present at the meeting. <br />All Ayes. <br />Motion carried. <br />Puleo made motion, Kellison seconded, to adjourn at 9:15 P.M. <br />All Ayes. <br />Motion carried. <br />Michele Lindau, Secretary <br />Planning Commission <br />
