P.C. Minutes - April 27, 1994
Page 3
Mr. Jim Benshoof, traffic expert, reviewed a report on 125th and 130th
streets with the Planning Commission. Projected road trips from the
proposed subdivision would increase area traffic from approximately 1630
vehicles per day to 2320 trips per day. Mr. Jim Merila stated that Exhall
Ave. would not be extended due to opposition from area residents. 127th
St. would run east/west and would be a dead end road.
Commissioners expressed concerns regarding the density, use of a private
park by surrounding residents, insufficient buffer zone, and a single
access onto 127th St. Other commissioners felt that the property lying
within the MUSA was appropriate for SFU zoning.
Motion made by Kellison, seconded by Agness to recommend denial of the
request of Grace Development Corp., Inc., to rezone 26 acres (93031-3000
and 93001-2750) from SFE to SFU based on the reasons stated above.
AYE: Agness, Kellison, Olson
NAY: Schumann, Rubenzer, Peltier
Motion failed.
Motion made by Schumann, seconded by
Eagle Subdivision to the City Council
AYE: Agness, Kellison, Olson
NAY: Schumann, Rubenzer, Peltier
Motion failed.
Rubenzer to forward the Woods of Bald
without a recommendation.
Brian Olson has submitted his resignation from the Planning Commission due
to his job, effective following the May 25th, 1994.
