MINUTES OF THE HUGO PLANNING COMMISSION MEETING <br />September 25, 1991 <br />The regular meeting of the Hugo Planning Commission was called to order by <br />Chairman Peltier at 7:02PM. <br />PRESENT: Davis, Thoreson, Barnes, Peltier, Administrator Huber, <br />Carole LaBelle <br />ABSENT: Mezzano, Henry, Oswald <br />Motion made by Davis, seconded by Barnes to approve the minutes of August <br />28, 1991. <br />All aye, motion passed. <br />SPECIAL USE PERMIT REQUEST - D. DAVIS <br />Administrator Huber reviewed this request with the Planning Commission. <br />Mr. Huber stated that Dan and Gloria Davis of 8745 122nd St. No., have <br />made application to the City of Hugo for a Special Use Permit to construct <br />a 26' X 30' pole shed on their property described as Lot 1, Block 1, Round <br />Lake Addition' Currently there is a 30' X 48' (1440 sq. ft.) post frame <br />building on the site. Total square footage would be 2,220 sq. ft. of <br />accessory storage. City ordinances require a special use permit for <br />accessory storage exceeding 1,800 sq. ft. in an RR2 zoning district. In <br />his correspondence to the City Mr. Dan Davis has indicated that the <br />structure will be used for personal storage and a small hobby workshop. <br />He has assured the City that the shed will not be used for any business <br />purposes. <br />Mr. Davis addressed the Planning Commission to correct the dimension <br />listed on his SUP application. The proposed building was mistakenly <br />listed as 24' X 30', however, the dimension on the site plan indicated 26' <br />X 30' which is the size requested. Mr. Mike Ball, 8715 122nd St., was <br />present and stated he had no objections to the accessory building. <br />Motion made by Thoreson, seconded by Barnes to recommend approval of the <br />request of Dan and Gloria Davis, 8745 122nd St. for a special use permit <br />to construct a 26' X 30' accessory building and exceed the allowable limit <br />of 1800 sq. ft. by 420 sq. ft. <br />AYE: Thoreson, Barnes, Peltier <br />ABSTAIN: Davis <br />Motion passed. <br />REZONING REQUEST - G. PAPENHEIM <br />Administrator Huber reviewed this request with the Planning Commission. <br />Mr. Huber stated that Mr. Gerald Papenheim of 2472 Taylor Ave., White Bear <br />Lake, Minnesota has made application to the City of Hugo for the rezoning <br />of a twenty acre tract of land from Conservancy to Agriculture. The <br />reason for Mr. Papenheims request is that he ultimately intends to <br />subdivide the property into two tracts of ten acres each for single family <br />residential development. Branch 3 of Clearwater Creek runs through the <br />property in question and visual inspection of the site indicates that it <br />is a large <br />
