Minutes - September 23, 1991 <br />Page 3 <br />does not conform with the City's current comprehensive plan for the area <br />and does not appear to conform with the proposed use of the property as <br />identified on the amended comprehensive plan map currently being worked on <br />by the Hugo Planning Commission. <br />Mr. Deslauries was present for the public hearing. He felt the background <br />memo reviewed his request adequately. Commissioner Barnes stated that <br />Highway 61 had been designated for Industrial property and informed the <br />property owner that any intense industrial use may require the extension <br />of sewer. Commissioner Thoreson felt the proposed zone change would be <br />compatible with current uses in the area. <br />Motion made by Barnes, seconded by Peltier to recommend approval of the <br />request of M. Hathaway/Ron Deslauries to rezone 21 acres from Agricultural <br />to Industrial, legally described as follows: <br />That part of the northeast 1/4 of Section 8, in T31N, R21W, Washington <br />County, Minnesota, described as follows: Beginning at the northeast <br />corner of Section 8; thence west, along the north line of Section 8, a <br />distance of 515 ft.; thence south, deflecting 90 degrees to the left, a <br />distance of 285 ft, thence west deflecting 90 degrees to the right, a <br />distance of 503 feet, more or less, to the easterly right-of-way line of <br />Trunk Highway No. 61; thence southwesterly, along said highway <br />right-of-way line, a distance of, a distance of 590 feet, more or less, to <br />a point distant 200 feet northeasterly, (as measured along the easterly <br />highway right-of-way line) of the south line of the north 1059.44 feet of <br />the northeast 1/4; thence east, parallel with the north line of the <br />northeast 1/4, a distance of 300 feet; thence southwesterly parallel with <br />the easterly highway right-of-way line, a distance of 200 feet to the <br />south line of the north 1059.44 feet of the northeast 1/4; thence east <br />along said parallel line, a distance of 900 feet, more or less, to the <br />east line of Section 8; thence northerly, along the east line of Section <br />8, a distance of 1060 feet, more or less, to the point of beginning, <br />containing 21.8 acre, more or less, and subject to the existing village <br />street along the north line. Including any right of title existing in the <br />adjacent Trunk Highway No. 61 to the westerly right-of-way line thereof. <br />All aye, motion passed. <br />Chairman Peltier has indicated that she will contact Mr. Henry to <br />determine whether he wishes to continue to serve on the Planning <br />Commission in light of the fact that he will be attending classes <br />throughout the winter. <br />The Planning Commission has requested that Mr. Ken Weber, from Kuusisto <br />Engineering attend the October 23, 1991 meeting to review the <br />recommendations of the Metropolitan Council regarding the updating of the <br />Comprehensive Plan. <br />Motion made by Davis, seconded by Thoreson to adjourn at 8:00PM. <br />All ave. motion passed. <br />aye, <br />' <br />Carole LaBelle, Secretary <br />Hugo Planning Commission <br />
