Planning Commission Minutes
June 11, 1986 page 2
Miron Cont.
Motion made by Rudisill, seconded by Atkinson to recommend approval with legal
description and certificate of survey as opposed to a plat. All aye, motion carried.
The regular meeting was recessed and the Schotl public hearing was called to order
at 8:02PM.
Ken and Barb Schotl Public hearing - There was no public attending to comment.
The public hearing was closed and the regular meeting reconvened at 8:10PM.
Schotl's own approximately 53 acres and propose to divide 20 acres and retain
33 acres. The property is currently recorded as three parcels, they would
combine these and divide according to the diagram on file.
Motion made by Atkinson, seconded by Rudisill to recommend approval of the
subdivision for Ken and Barb Schotl, 9351 130th St. to divide 20 acres from
53 acres to create two parcels a 20± acre and a 33± acre. All aye, motion carried.
Atkinson made motion, seconded by Ray Olson to recommend approval of the subdivision
by certificate of survey and legal description unless a plat or registered land
survey is necessary to combine the three parcels and resubdivide into 2 parcels
All aye, motion carried.
Jerry Thibault - Mr. Thibault recently purchased the sixty acre parcel from
George Miron at Ingersoll and 165th. He would like to construct a 60 X 300
pole building for his horses, the building is 200' from the road and his
residence (under construction) is approximately 300' from the road. Because there
is no limit on accessory buildings on parcels over 20 acres and horse farms
and training facilities are permitted in the Ag. and Conservancy zones the
commission did not feel an SUP is necessary.
Ray Olson made motion, seconded by Bob Olson to recommend approval of the
site plan and variance for Jerry Thibault, Ingersoll Ave. to construct a 60
X 300 building closer to the road than the principal building. All aye,
motion carried.
Howard Moe and Cal Garley - Rice Creek Watershed District and Howard Kuusisto
have approved the drainage plan submitted by Moe/Garley, however more information
is still needed to complete the preliminary plan for subdivision. They will
be rescheduled for the Planning Commission meeting of June 25.
Motion made by Ray Olson, seconded by Bob Olson to adjourn 9:30PM.
Carole LaBelle, Secretary
Hugo Planning Commission
