Hugo Planning Commission <br />Sept. 12, 1984 pg. 2 <br />Frank Puleo - Special Use Permit - Mr. Puleo would like to construct <br />a 321 x 561 pole building on the property at 16325 Forest Blvd. It <br />would be is ed for storing recreational and gardening equipment. The <br />property is zoned SFE. They plan to move.a manufactured home onto <br />the lot to be occupied by one of their employees from Lebens Nursery. <br />The mobile home does meet all code requirements for a permanent res--* <br />idence. <br />Motion made by Fashingbauer, seconded by Lorch to recommend approval <br />of the Special Use Permit for Frank Puleo to construct a 32' x 56' <br />pole building providing all setbacks are met; <br />AYE: Fashingbauer, Lorch <br />NAY: Atkinson, Olson, Rudisill, Potts Motion denied. <br />Motion made to recommend denial of the Special Use Permit for Frank <br />Puleo; <br />AYE: Atkinson, Rudisill, Olson, Potts <br />NAY: Fashingbauer, Lorch Motion carried. <br />Mr. Puleo will take his request to the City Council for consideration. <br />Curt Leibel - Special Use Permit - Mr. Leibel provided a site and <br />rainage plan drawing foF review. A letter from R. Nelson indi- <br />cating the water surface elevations was- included. <br />Motion made by Atkinson, seconded by Potts to recommend approval of <br />the Special Use Permit for Curt Leibel to fill lot 93017-2908 accord- <br />ing the plan dated July 11, 1984. <br />Atkinson made motion, seconded by Potts to recommend approval of the <br />site and drainage plan dated July 11, 1984 with the condition that <br />exterior storage is to be behind the building and out of sight. <br />All aye, motion carried. <br />John Johnson - Discussion on Wholesale Florist business. Mr. Johnson <br />is interested in purchasing the Harley Johnson property on Frenchman <br />Rd. Mr. Johnson owns a wholesale florist distributing organization. <br />The Hugo property would be used strictly for growing cut flowers and <br />possibly bedding plants. The heating system is to be determined, <br />coal is a possibility. Sodium vapor lights are used in the green- <br />houses and remainrfrom approximately mid October through March. <br />They anticipate starting with one acre of greenhouses and approxi- <br />mately twelve employees. There would be one truck picking up roses <br />for delivery, per day. <br />Potts made motion, seconded by Fashingbauer recommending approval <br />of the concept as stated, with a special note of apprehension by <br />the applicant regarding the term Special Use Permit. Further rec- <br />ommendation that permanent principle uses in the CB zone be amended <br />to include "wholesale florist". All aye, motion carried. <br />ie and Cary Weisner - Minor Subdivision - Weisners would like to <br />e one acre rom a 22 acre parte own- by Roy Molitor. <br />Motion made by Potts, seconded by Rudisill to recommend approval of <br />the Minor Subdivision for Cary Weisner as stated on Certificate of <br />
