Motion made by Peloquin, seconded by Peltier, to recommend approval of the Variance request of Richard Vail to bypass the requirement for concrete and install rolled bituminous curb, in the Shamrock Glen subdivision. All aye. Motion Carried. Motion :Wade by Peloquin, seconded by Peltier, to recommend approval of the Variance request of Richard Vail to bypass the requirement for sidewalks in the Shamrock Glen subdivision. Lorch inquired why the developer should not be required to install sidewalks. Hanson stated that because the street is going to be used for drainage purposes may be the city should be looking at a sidewalk on one side or some kind of walkway be provided. Peloquin withdrew his motion. Motion made by Hanson, seconded by Larch, to recommend denial of the Variance request of Richard Vail to bypass the requirement to install sidewalks in the Shamrock Glen subdivision. All aye. Motion Carried. Motion made by Hanson, seconded by Peloquin, thet thf. City Council consider a variance from the normal sidewalk requirementsitit�`c(rnsideration be given to some sort of pedestrian, hard -surfaced walkway. All aye. Motion Carried. MARLOWE LINDAU - SUBDIVISION Motion made by Peloquin, seconded by Greger, to add Marlowe Lindau to the agenda for all purposes. All aye. Motion Carried. The City Council has determined that Mr. Lindau should plat his property rather than divide by metes and bounds. Mr. Lindau could then create the four parcels as initially requested, leaving the larger balance of land to be designated Outlot A. Then if Mr. Lindau would ever desire to divide that portion of land, Minor Subdivision would be appropriate. Mr. Koercher's property was part of the original farm now awned by Lindau, and Peloquin felt that this parcel should be included in the platting. It was also suggested that a petition should be filed with the city to extend city water to Lindau's property, because of the close proximity of the water to be installed for the Shamrock Glen subdivision. Mr. Lindau was provided with an application of subdivision along with a sub- division checklist. Mr. Lindau was also informed that permits will be required from Rice Creek Watershed and the DNR. VERN PELOQUIN - MINOR SUBDIVISION Miscellaneous Metals is now ready to construct the balance of the building to be located on Lot 10, Block 4, Peloquin Industrial Park.
