Motion Carried. <br />Motion :Wade by Peloquin, seconded by Peltier, to recommend approval of the Variance <br />request of Richard Vail to bypass the requirement for sidewalks in the Shamrock <br />Glen subdivision. <br />Lorch inquired why the developer should not be required to install sidewalks. <br />Hanson stated that because the street is going to be used for drainage purposes <br />may be the city should be looking at a sidewalk on one side or some kind of <br />walkway be provided. <br />Peloquin withdrew his motion. <br />Motion made by Hanson, seconded by Larch, to recommend denial of the Variance <br />request of Richard Vail to bypass the requirement to install sidewalks in the <br />Shamrock Glen subdivision. <br />All aye. Motion Carried. <br />Motion made by Hanson, seconded by Peloquin, thet thf. City Council consider a <br />variance from the normal sidewalk requirementsitit�`c(rnsideration be given to <br />some sort of pedestrian, hard -surfaced walkway. <br />All aye. Motion Carried. <br />MARLOWE LINDAU - SUBDIVISION <br />Motion made by Peloquin, seconded by Greger, to add Marlowe Lindau to the agenda <br />for all purposes. <br />All aye. Motion Carried. <br />The City Council has determined that Mr. Lindau should plat his property rather <br />than divide by metes and bounds. Mr. Lindau could then create the four parcels <br />as initially requested, leaving the larger balance of land to be designated <br />Outlot A. Then if Mr. Lindau would ever desire to divide that portion of land, <br />Minor Subdivision would be appropriate. Mr. Koercher's property was part of <br />the original farm now awned by Lindau, and Peloquin felt that this parcel should <br />be included in the platting. It was also suggested that a petition should be <br />filed with the city to extend city water to Lindau's property, because of the <br />close proximity of the water to be installed for the Shamrock Glen subdivision. <br />Mr. Lindau was provided with an application of subdivision along with a sub- <br />division checklist. Mr. Lindau was also informed that permits will be required <br />from Rice Creek Watershed and the DNR. <br />VERN PELOQUIN - MINOR SUBDIVISION <br />Miscellaneous Metals is now ready to construct the balance of the building to <br />be located on Lot 10, Block 4, Peloquin Industrial Park. Mr. Riermann had <br />previously been given approval to install footings only, and final approval <br />
