MINUTES OF THE PROCEEDINGS <br />OF THE <br />HUGO PLANNING COMMISSION <br />May 25, 1983 <br />The meeting was called to order by Chairperson Lorch at 8:00 P.M. <br />PRESENT: Lorch, Hanson, Potts, Atkinson, Schoeller. Councilman Schwab <br />ABSENT: Faschingbauer <br />Motion made by Hanson, seconded by Potts to approve the minutes of May 11, 1983 <br />All aye. Motion carried. <br />N Horton <br />Saedeen was representing Mr. Horton regarding the renewal of their <br />auto dismantling license. All conditions of the license are being complied <br />with. <br />Motion made by Hanson, seconded by Potts to recommend approval of the Auto <br />Dismantling licenses (2) for Norm Horton, with the condition that they advise <br />the Fire Chief to inspect fire lanes at the property. All Aye. Motion carried. <br />Richard Schuh <br />Mr. Schuh was not present to make any comments on the Mining permits. Both <br />gravel pits are currently inactive. Hanson made motion, seconded by Atkinson <br />to recommend approval of Mining permit at the Goiffon property with the exist- <br />ing conditions. All aye. Motion carried. <br />Motion made by Hanson, seconded by Potts to recommend approval of the Duraine per- <br />mit, also currently inactive. Following existing conditions. All aye. Motion <br />carried. <br />Fischer Construction <br />Mr. Fischer did not attend to make comment. The pit is located on the Elmer <br />Hansen property which is currently inactive. <br />Motion made by Hanson, seconded by Atkinson to recommend approval of the <br />Mining permit with the following condition; that if the hot mix plant were <br />to be reopened Fischer Construction would first advise the City. <br />Shackle - Stewart <br />Lee and Mary Stewart, Mr. and Mrs. Shackle,and Howard Kuusisto were all pre- <br />sent to discuss the possible minor subdivision. Mr. Kuusisto stated that <br />the Charpentiers were connected directly to manhole #86 and that for the <br />Shac kles to do the same thing would mean a 400 foot pipe to connect which <br />would be unrealistic. All previous minutes and correspondence specifically <br />state that no other homes would be constructed unless the city sewer was <br />provided and that a dedicated road be provided and maintained by the City. <br />Motion made by Hanson, seconded by Potts to table the Shackle -Stewart appli- <br />cation for Minor Subdivision until the June 8 Planning Commission meeting <br />to allow for further investigation of the following matters if a favorable <br />recommendation were to be made: <br />1. An indication from the property owners concerned of conditions for <br />obtaining necessary easements to eventually allow a 60' road to <br />accommodate future development. <br />
