MINUTES OF THE PROCEEDINGS <br />OF THE <br />HUGO PLANNING COMMISSION <br />December 28, 1977 <br />The public hearing to consider the request by Larry & Richard Schmidt for a <br />Special Use Permit was called to order by Chairman Ehret at 7:40 p.m. <br />PRESENT: Ehret, Peloquin, Peltier, Greger, Gillen, McAllister <br />Dan Koehler, Washington County Planning, was also present. <br />ABSENT: Rosenquist <br />Larry Ehret read notice of public hearing published in the Forest Lake Times <br />December 8, 1977. <br />Eugene Peltier — 17205 N. Forest Blvd., Hugo, Minnesota — Mr. Peltier is concerned <br />about parking. It was a problem to him before when the Nashville North was open. <br />People were parking in his lot. He had no other objections. Mr. Ehret stated that <br />parking provisions are part of the requirements of the Special Use Permit. <br />Mr. Peltier was asked how many feet there were between his property and the old <br />Nashville North. Mr. Peltier could not state off hand. <br />19077.72 Feet is the depth of the property. The blacktop goes back 328 feet. The <br />septic tank is complete except for the lift pump. <br />Mr. Ehret read letter submitted by the Police Chief Robert Barth. <br />Peloquin asked how many parking spaces they had. There are 122 marked spaces and <br />there could be up to 130 spaces at this time. <br />Larry Nielsen, Attorney representing the Schmidts, was present. He stated that the <br />Schmidt's would like to wait a year before blacktopping to see how the business was <br />going. <br />Mrs. Peltier asked how many games there would be. There will be a couple pool tables <br />and a couple foos ball machines. <br />The public hearing was closed at 8:03 p.m. <br />Motion made by Ehret, seconded by McAllister, to approve the minutes of the December <br />14, 1977, with the following changes: <br />Page 1 (Schmidt) 9th line — 13 blue spruce instead of 13' blue spruce. <br />— All proposed narking areas were eliminated . <br />10th line — after comma — there could be 5 trees. <br />Page 4 (W.B.Rod) 2nd line — could make no comment. <br />7th line — The word with should be scratched. <br />Page 5 (Proof of Ownership) — 1. that title is correct and current. <br />2, that title is correct and current. <br />3, that title is correct and current. <br />4. The contract holder as one of the three above. <br />
