Hugo Planning Commission <br />t October 269 1977 <br />Pg 2 of 3 <br />Country Squire β cont. <br />Motion made by Greger, seconded by Rosenquist. to change the regular Planning <br />Commission meeting of November 23, 1977 to November 16, 1977. <br />All aye. Motion carried. <br />Motion made by Greger, seconded by Rosenquist, to schedule a public hearing for <br />November 16, 1977 at 7:30 PM, to consider the request of the Country Squire to <br />rezone 9 parcels containing 1.04 acres, more or less. To include other parcels <br />of Loren McCullough and Sophie Arcand provided the necessary information is proβ <br />vided by Monday, October 319 1977. Land to be rezoned from Agriculture to RB. <br />Names of property owners within 300' of the property in question to be provided. <br />VOTING FOR: Peloquin, Greger, Rosenquist, and Peltier <br />ABSTAINED: Gillen <br />Motion Carried, <br />Safeway House Movers β Special Use Permit <br />Mr. & Mrs. Donald Sempel are interested in purchasing 20 acres on Highway 61 and <br />165th Street now zoned Industrial. They want the property to store houses, garages, <br />and any other buildings they may get. Mr. Sempel stated that they really don't care <br />to store the buildings, but because of circumstances, sometimes it is required. <br />A copy of the earnest money contract, survey, and site plan was provided. <br />Motion made by Rosenquist, seconded by Greger, to schedule a public hearing for <br />November 16, 1977, at 9:00 PM, to consider the request of Safeway House Movers for <br />a Special Use Permit for open exterior storage of buildings. Names of property <br />owners within 300' of the property in question is to be provided. <br />VOTING FOR: Peloquin, Greger, Gillen, Rosenquist, and Peltier <br />Motion carried. <br />White Bear Rod '& Gun Club β Amended Special Use Permit <br />Mr. Jerry Perron was present and stated that they are interested in renting the <br />building at their site for weddings, parties, etc. Peltier stated that this would <br />not be a permitted use in Agriculture zoning. <br />Motion made by Gillen, seconded by Greger, to recommend denial of the request of the <br />White Bear Ron & Gun Club for an amended Special Use Permit to use the clubhouse for <br />rental purposes, because it is not a permitted use in the Agriculture district. <br />Perron stated that this would not be a commercial operation, and that there was a <br />definite distinction between renting and taking tickets at the door. Mr. Koehler <br />stated that a clubhouse would allow use by its members, but could not be rented out. <br />Perron asked if a member wanted to use the clubhouse, could they do that. Gillen <br />stated that he felt that would be permissible. <br />VOTING FOR: Peloquin, Greger, Gillen, Rosenquist, and Peltier <br />Motion carried. <br />
