MINUTES OF THE PROCEEDINGS <br />OF THE <br />HUGO PLANNING COMMISSION <br />May 25, 1977 <br />The public hearing regarding the rezoning request of Delmer Strand— <br />berg was called to order by acting Chairperson Theodora Peltier at <br />7:30 P.M. <br />PRESENT: Peltier, McAllister, Greger, Peloquin <br />Notice of the published hearing was read. Mr. Strandberg would like <br />to sell a home with 5 acres. The land is presently zoned Conservancy, <br />and he is asking for rezoning to RRII. Peloquin stated that this <br />request would mean rezoning down two levels and would never be approved <br />by the City Council. Peltier suggested that they try rezoning to <br />Agriculture if they feel they are unjustly zoned Conservancy. <br />Adjoining property owners, Arthur and Joanne Jensen, were present <br />stating that they had no problem with the rezoning request. The <br />public hearing was closed at 7:50 P.M. <br />The regular Planning Commission meeting was called to order at 8:00 P.M. <br />PRESENT: Peltier, Peloquin, Greger, and McAllister <br />Motion made by McAllister, seconded by Greger, to approve the minutes <br />of May 11, 1977 as presented. <br />All aye. Motion carried. <br />Delmer Strandberg - Rezoning <br />Peloquin made motion, seconded by McAllister, to recommend to the <br />City Council denial of the rezoning request of Delmer Strandberg from <br />Conservancy to RRII for the following reasons: <br />1. Rezoning down levels - Conservancy to RRII <br />2. Land is in the Flood Plain area, and <br />3. Spot rezoning. <br />VOTING FOR: Peltier, Peloquin, Greger, and McAllister <br />Motion carried. <br />Norman Horton - Junkyard License and Special Use Permit <br />Mike Gillen arrived at 8:13 P.M. <br />The Norm Horton matter is tabled until June 8, 1977, pending infor- <br />mation from City Attorney. <br />
