City Council meeting of March 21, 1994 <br />Page 2 <br />Leroux made motion, Brunotte seconded, that the City of Hugo has no <br />objection to the issuance of a lawful Gambling License to the Church of <br />St. John the Baptist, 14383 Forest Blvd No, to conduct bingo, raffles, and <br />sell pull tabs on the grounds of the church on August 28, 1994. <br />All aye. Motion Carried. <br />FINDINGS OF FACT (BERNTSON REZONING) <br />The Council reviewed the Findings of Fact as prepared by the City <br />Attorney, regarding Mr. Burdette Berntson's request to rezone <br />approximately 29.2 acres located in the northeast quadrant of the <br />intersection of Highway 61 and 120th St. At the last Council meeting <br />action was taken to deny the rezoning, and staff recommends adoption of <br />the Findings. <br />Leroux made motion, Miron seconded, that the City adopt the Findings of <br />Fact, as prepared by the City Attorney, regarding denial of the rezoning <br />request of Burdette Berntson at the Council meeting of March 7, 1994. <br />All ave. Motion Carried. <br />VARIANCE REQUEST (FIRSTAR BANK) <br />Firstar Hugo Banff: has requested a variance to the :lakeshore setback <br />requirement, and maximum impervious surface requirement, of the City's <br />code in order to construct additional parking spaces at 14431 Forest:. <br />Blvd. The Board of Zoning Adjustments reviewed their request on February <br />22 1994, and recommended approval based on the commercial nature of the <br />area and the action being taken by t:hr•_ bank to mediate the impact of t.hE•_ <br />increased parking area on Egg Lake. <br />St:.ol.t:.._man made motion, Barnes seconded, to approve the variance request of <br />the Firstar Hugo Bank, 14431 Forest Blvd., to construct addit.i.onal parking <br />of the max <br />__•[.'?iic.qu:i.r ed, and in excess of closer to Egg L...a4�:.e than r <br />impervious surface allowed.
