Mary Ann C.reaoer <br />ABSENT: Debra Barnes and Bernard Brunotte <br />Miron made motion, Stoltzman seconded, to approve the minutes for the City <br />Council meeting of June 6, 1994, as submitted. <br />All aye. Motion Carried. <br />Miron made motion. Leroux seconded, to approve the claims for June 2(). <br />1994, in the amount. of $13,469.90. <br />All aye. Motion Carried. <br />PUBLIC HEARING . (WALh,:ER CEMETERY) <br />A public hearing was held to consider adoption of an ordinance providing <br />for the improvement, maintenance, and regulation of the Walker Historic <br />Cemetery. The public hearing was called to order and Teddy Peltier <br />inquired as to why the name had been changed. She was informed that the <br />Walker family was the first to be buried there, and it was considered <br />appropriate to attach their name to the cemetery. There were no other <br />oral or written comments. <br />Leroux made motion, Stoltzman seconded, to adopt ORDINANCE 94-292. AN <br />ORDINANCE PROVIDING FOR THE IMPROVEMENT, MAINTENANCE, AND REGULATION OF <br />THE WALKER CEMETERY. <br />VOTING AYE: Leroux, Miron, Stoltzman <br />Motion Carried. <br />Miron made motion, Leroux seconded, directing staff to transfer ownership <br />of the property and have it platted. <br />All aye. Motion Carried. <br />PUBLIC HEARING (ATP*.INSON) <br />A public hearing was held to consider the request of Dean Atkinson, 1+542 <br />Goodview Avenue, to renew his permit to mine gravel from a 40 acre parcel <br />located in SW 1/4 of Section 23, T31N, R21W. The City has a current, <br />site -restoration plan on file, and staff recommended approval of the <br />Permit, subject to security in the amount of $17,500 to assure reclamation <br />of the property, and provision of proof of insurance. <br />Miron made motion, Leroux seconded, to approve the Mining Permit for Dean <br />Atkinson, subject to conditions of previous permits.
