MINUTES FOR 'THE HUGO CITY COUNCIL MEETING OF DECEMBER 5. 1994 <br />The meeting was called to order by Mayor Stoltzman at 7:00 PM. <br />PRESENT: BrUnotte, Miron, Stoltzman <br />City Administrator, Robert MUseUS <br />City Attorney, Greg Galler <br />City Engineer, Joel Dresel <br />City Clerk, Mary Ann Creager <br />ABSENT: Debra Barnes <br />Councilman LeroUX arrived at 7:10 PM. <br />Miron made motion, Stoltzman seconded, to approve the minutes for' the City <br />Council meeting of November 21, 1994, as submitted. <br />All aye. Motion Carried. <br />Brunot.te made motion, Miron seconded, to approve the minutes for the City <br />Council meeting of November 29, 1994, as submitted. <br />VOTING AYE: Brunotte, LerolAX, Miron <br />ABSTAINED: Stoltzman <br />Motion Carried. <br />( COON(; I LMAN LEROUX ARRIVED AT 7:10 PM) . <br />Miron made motion, LerolAX seconded, to approve the claims for December 5. <br />1994, in the amount of $126,069.34. <br />All nye. Motion Carried. <br />LIQUOR LICENSE ORDINANCE <br />On November 21, 1994, the City Council considered adoption of an amended <br />Liquor License Ordinance, which was subject to a public hearing on <br />November 7, 1994. At the request of the liquor license holders, the <br />Council table action on the proposed ordinance until tonight's meeting. <br />The liquor license holders were unified in their objection to any increase <br />in the fee for an on -sale liquor license. They also questioned the <br />closing_ time on Sundays when food is sold at the establishment, and the <br />hiring of an 18 year old to sell liquor. The Administrator explained the <br />relationship between the license fee and costs covered by the fee. <br />Leroux: made motion, Miron seconded, to table action on the proposed <br />ordinance to allow time for staff to research State law relative to Sunday <br />closing and the selling of alcohol by an 18 year old.
