le <br />MINUTES OF THE PROCEEDINGS <br />OF THE <br />HUGO PLANNING COMMISSION <br />September 26, 1979 <br />The meeting was called to order by Chairperson Theodora Peltier at 8:04 PM. <br />PRESENT: Hanson, Greger, Houle, Lorch, and Peltier <br />ABSENT: Peloquin and McAllister <br />Motion made by Houle, seconded by Lorch, to approve the minutes of September 12, <br />1979, after the following corrections have been made: <br />Page 1 - The next Special Meeting with Mr. Carl Dale will be October 10, 1979. <br />Page 3 - Mr. McDermaid presented a rough plan <br />All aye. Motion Carried. <br />DENNIS QUINLAN - SPECIAL USE PERMIT <br />Mr. Quinlan, 12842 Homestead Drive, is requesting to construct a second garage <br />to be used for his personal use. The land lies in the RRII zone. The Planning <br />Commission reviewed the Codebook and determined that private garages were allowed <br />in this zone, reference 320-4, Subd. F2. <br />Motion made by Greger, seconded by Lorch, to recommend approval of the Special <br />Use Permit for Dennis Quinlan to construct a 24 x 24 garage at 12842 Homestead <br />Drive. The City Council is to be notified that the Planning Commission has no <br />objection to the action requested by the applicant and that is why they are <br />approving the permit. The Planning Commission does not think a Special Use <br />Permit is required. If the City Council concurs, the fee should be refunded <br />to the applicant. <br />All aye. Motion Carried. <br />STEVE SHAW - SPECIAL USE PERMIT <br />Mr. Shaw, 17940 Foxhill Avenue North, would like to construct a 24 x 40 pole barn <br />to be used for storage. He owns 5 acres in the Agricultural zone. A site plan <br />was presented. (MCALLISTER ARRIVED AT 8:25 PM). McAllister felt that the Planning <br />Commission should be looking at a Special Use Permit, because barn would not be <br />used in a farming operation. Mr. Shaw stated that he would change his Site Plan <br />to conform with the setback requirements. <br />Motion made by McAllister, seconded by Hanson, to recommend approval of the Special <br />Use Permit for Steve Shaw, 17940 Foxhill Avenue, to construct a 24 x 40 pole barn <br />to be used for personal storage in accordance with the revised Site Plan. <br />All aye. Motion Carried. <br />
