Hugo Planning Commission <br />September 26, 1979 <br />Page 2 of 3 <br />(PELOQUIN ARRIVED AT 8:37 PM) <br />JAMES WARNECKE - SPECIAL USE PERMIT AND VARIANCE <br />Mr. Warnecke presented the requested information: Letter of credit, in the amount <br />of $5,000.00 to insure obtaining of a valid Building Permit, proof of ownership, <br />copy of his Contract for Deed, and a Site Plan drawn to scale. Mr. Warnecke will <br />be constructing an accessory building prior to the main residence. The variance <br />is required because the pole barn will be constructed nearer the front lot line <br />than the principal building. <br />McAllister made motion, seconded by Peloquin, to recommend approval of the request <br />for a Variance for James Warnecke to construct his pole barn ahead of the front <br />of the house. <br />All aye. Motion Carried. <br />Motion made by McAllister, seconded by Lorch, to recommend approval of the request <br />for a Special Use Permit for James Warnecke.to construct an accessory building <br />prior to the construction of the residence. Permit to be limited to the appli- <br />cant only and not transferable if the property is sold. Granted in accordance <br />with the accepted Site Plan. <br />All aye. Motion Carried. <br />GEORGE PRAZICH AND CHARLES SHUBAT <br />- REZONING <br />Mr. Shubat, present at the meeting, is requesting to rezone property at 16155 <br />Forest Blvd.; from the Agricultural zone to the Industrial zone. There is appro- <br />ximately 38.44 acres. Shubat stated that the land would be used for light in- <br />dustry (5 acre parcels with interior roads). McAllister stated that there is <br />no provision in the ordinances to provide for light industrial use. If land is <br />rezoned, could open the area to almost anything. <br />Motion made by Peltier, seconded -by McAllister, to set a public hearing to consider <br />the request of Mr. Shubat and Mr. Prazich to rezone property from the Agricultural <br />zone to the Industrial zone for October 24, 1979, at 7:30 PM. <br />All aye. Motion Carried. <br />This notice is not to be published until Mrs. Elizabeth Mabbutt, or her power of <br />attorney, signs the application. Mr. Shubat is also to.provide names and addresses <br />of property owners within 300' of the property to be rezoned. <br />Motion made by McAllister, seconded by Lorch, that the City Clerk is not to accept <br />applications for rezoning without the signature of the property owner, refer <br />320-8, Subd. B. <br />All aye. Motion Carried. <br />SAFEWAY HOUSE MOVERS - CARETAKER AT PROPERTY (discussion only) <br />Mr. Sempel, owner of Safeway House Movers, was present, and stated that there has <br />been a large amount of vandalism and theft on his property. He would like to move <br />in a trailer to be used for a watchman. At present,.the city has no'.provision to. <br />allow for watchman's quarters in the Industrial zone. Peloquin suggested that lair. <br />Sempel make an application for a Mob.16 Home Permit under the hardship 6iause. <br />
