r MINUTES OF THE PROCEEDINGS <br />OF THE <br />HUGO PLANNING COMMISSION <br />August 22, 1979 <br />The informal interviews with John Waller and Ken Lorch to fill the <br />vacancy on the Planning Commission commenced at 7:32 PM. <br />PRESENT: Peloquin, Hanson, Greger, McAllister, and Peltier <br />ABSENT: Houle <br />has <br />Mr. 'Haller stated that he/lived in the community since he was a youth, <br />and js particularly interested in the changes that will take place in <br />the,.Vew years. Mr. Waller does not agree with the 10 acre zoning <br />requirement, and would like to see 5 acre parcels. Mr. Waller was <br />asked if agreed with the blacktop requirements for future subdivisions, <br />and he responded he would not like to see the taxes increased as a <br />result. The developer should be responsible for the costs. As far <br />as "spot rezoning", 'Jaller stated that each case would have to be <br />reviewed individually. Mr. Waller stated that he would like to see <br />light industrial and retail business for the Hugo area. <br />NLr_. Lorch stated that 10 acres seems to be adequate for a zoning reβ€” <br />quirement. Lorch concurred with Waller regarding "spot rezoning" and <br />future business in Hugo. Lorch stated that if the city could find <br />no developers willing to blacktop, the city might have to take another <br />look at their requirements for roads. However, if the mandate was <br />upheld, then blacktopping would be a requirement of the developer. <br />The regular meeting was called to order by Chairwoman Peltier at <br />8:03 PM. <br />PRESENT: Peloquin,Hanson, Greger, McAllister and Peltier <br />ABSENT: Houle <br />McAllister made motion, seconded by Hanson, to approve the minutes of <br />the meeting of August 8, 1979, as submitted. <br />All aye. Motion Carried. <br />Peloquin made motion, seconded by Peltier, to approve the minutes of the <br />Special Meeting of August 8, 1979, after the following changes are made: <br />1st paragraph β€” more houses on the 40 acres <br />1st paragraph β€” but i?_a__7u_ildable site could be provided <br />All aye. Motion Carried. <br />ROBERT ANDERSON β€” SPECIAL USE PERMIT <br />Mr. Anderson, 12200 Goodview Avenue, owns 5.3 acres zoned Conservancy. <br />He would like to construct a 30 x 48 pole barn to used for storage. <br />
