Hugo Planning Commission May 239 1979 Page 4 of 4 BALD EAGLE SPORTSMAN ASSOCIATION — RENMWAL OP SPECIAL USE PERMIT Mr, Timm, President of the club, was present, and stated that because of the Sunday closing condition, their revenue on the rifly range has decreased by 40%. He also stated that their taxes have been increased. McAllister stated that the present system has worked to the satisfaction of the adjoining neighbors, and he would not be willing to vote for any change. Motion made by McAllister, seconded by Peloquin, to recommend approval of the renewal for the Special Use Permit for the Bald Eagle Sportsman Association as it exists. Mr. Timms is to provide the telephone numbers of the club's officers. VOTING FOR: Peloquin, Greger, Gillen, Houle, McAllister and Peltier ABSTAINED: Hanson Motion Carried. CARL DALE Mr. Dale reviewed with the Planning Commission the requirements for the updating of the city's Comprehensive Plan. Mr, Dale listed a number of areas the Commission should consider when reviewing the plan: 1. Deadend streets created by large lots 2. Consider another survey questionnaire 3. Take a look at the business district along Highway 61 4. Consider designated areas acquired for parks 5. Punds for industrial areas 6. Increment tax financing 7. Substandard housing Mr. Dale will be present at the Planning Commission meeting of June 27, at 6:00 PM, to further discuss the Comprehensive Plan. The City Council, Ordinance Committee, and Dan Koehler is to be invited to attend this meeting. MISCELLANEOUS McAllister stated that in early 1978, the City Council directed either the City Attorney or the Ordinance Committee to draft a new ordinance requiring site plan review in the CB district. The City Council is requested to report to the Planning Commission on the status of that directive. Motion made by Peloquin, seconded by Greger, to adjourn at 11:32 PM. All aye. Motion Carried.
