Hugo Planning Commission <br />May 239 1979 <br />Page 4 of 4 <br />BALD EAGLE SPORTSMAN ASSOCIATION — RENMWAL OP SPECIAL USE PERMIT <br />Mr, Timm, President of the club, was present, and stated that because of the Sunday <br />closing condition, their revenue on the rifly range has decreased by 40%. He also <br />stated that their taxes have been increased. McAllister stated that the present system <br />has worked to the satisfaction of the adjoining neighbors, and he would not be willing to <br />vote for any change. <br />Motion made by McAllister, seconded by Peloquin, to recommend approval of the renewal <br />for the Special Use Permit for the Bald Eagle Sportsman Association as it exists. Mr. <br />Timms is to provide the telephone numbers of the club's officers. <br />VOTING FOR: Peloquin, Greger, Gillen, Houle, McAllister and Peltier <br />ABSTAINED: Hanson <br />Motion Carried. <br />CARL DALE <br />Mr. Dale reviewed with the Planning Commission the requirements for the updating of <br />the city's Comprehensive Plan. Mr, Dale listed a number of areas the Commission should <br />consider when reviewing the plan: <br />1. Deadend streets created by large lots <br />2. Consider another survey questionnaire <br />3. Take a look at the business district along Highway 61 <br />4. Consider designated areas acquired for parks <br />5. Punds for industrial areas <br />6. Increment tax financing <br />7. Substandard housing <br />Mr. Dale will be present at the Planning Commission meeting of June 27, at 6:00 PM, <br />to further discuss the Comprehensive Plan. The City Council, Ordinance Committee, and <br />Dan Koehler is to be invited to attend this meeting. <br />MISCELLANEOUS <br />McAllister stated that in early 1978, the City Council directed either the City Attorney <br />or the Ordinance Committee to draft a new ordinance requiring site plan review in the <br />CB district. The City Council is requested to report to the Planning Commission on <br />the status of that directive. <br />Motion made by Peloquin, seconded by Greger, to adjourn at 11:32 PM. <br />All aye.
